Declassified Monte Bello. I got this bottle for $20 at Trader Joes almost 3 years ago. Still tannic, but great with food and I suspect better tomorrow. Not yet at its peak. Currants, black cherry, and pencil flavors predominate.

Beautifully complex wine, needed some time to open, probably needs more bottle age, tannins were still upfront and solid; need to remember to go buy a bunch more.

beautiful balance of dark fruit with a faint cherry aftertaste, perfect acidity and tingly tannins were great with a bbq ribeye steak; still lively, but just right now for my tastes

Opened at Ridge. Mellow. Better than several other Santa Cruz Mountains Estate wines tasted there today.

OK day#1 There is a good red currant nose, medium body, tons of acid and mild tannins. Young IMO.

Good, simple, easy drinking, won't get any better, but should hold for a few years.

First bottle of Ridge Cab - very smooth and velvety, nice fruit with some tannins still holding on. At $25 I wish I bought more.

Drank at Los Altos Grill, nice bottle. Full bodied, chewy tannins, lots of dark fruit.
