In no rush to open our remaining bottles; this baby is drinkable now, but promises to get better still. If you must drink it now, you won't be disappointed. More astringent and without the jammy mouthfeel that I prefer in big Syrahs, it is still an excellent bottle of wine.

Popped and poured, drank over 2 nights. Rich red and black fruit on the nose. Vibrant fruit on the palate. Smooth mouthfeel and long finish. Surprisingly, don't get any heat, despite 15% alc level.

To me, the best Azimuth to date. Decanted through a Vinturi then allowed to sit for 10 hours prior to tasting. The initial palate impression is milk chocolate with blue fruit undertones. The creamy mouthfeel sent me back to the malt shop in the corner drug store, but the forthcoming loads of minerality and a touch of tar brought my attention right back to the present. Not the fruit forward offering I was expecting, rather something much more interesting.

A big wine, tannins are completely smooth, it is at its peak, drink now.
When you open it, pour into a decanter, to give it room to open up.

Probably could use another year to age but even now this is an outstanding blend.

Smooth, medium-bodied blackberry/raspberry fruit with pencil lead, licorice flavors, excellent structure, elegant but restrained wine, shorter finish
