color: light purple velvet; nose: traces of oak; taste: light-to-medium-bodied mouth feel, vegetal taste which conjures up the feeling of having a sweet tart in one's mouth, medium-length green finish accompanied by smooth tobacco-flavored tannins; overall: decent value-priced pour ($8/bottle) but sullied by abundant signs of under-ripe fruit and not tasty enough to serve to company

Very good. Deep purple color. Thin legs. Cherries, cedar, and oak on the nose. Nice spice up front, with a warm finish. Borders on "Delicious" and definitely a great bargain.

This bottle was more consistent with my past experience. A solid California Merlot with a good smooth oaky flavor. The wine has a lot of fruit and is in a style typical of $10-20 California Merlots. A good value at $7.50+tax where I buy it.

This bottle was hard to rate – many very nice qualities and some less gratifying qualities. It didn’t live up to the past ratings for other vintages I have had. That being said it is a good wine and at the $7.50 I got it for it’s an ok value. Color is deep purple- opaque. The nose is all about fruit and oak with a bit of sharpness. The taste hits with big fruit—mostly under ripe blackberry but some cherry and lighter berries too. The wine after that fruit hits is smooth and nicely textured and followed by some light oak and mild tannins. Just as you swallow there is some bite on the back of the tongue which goes away quickly and the finish is a nice smooth and oaky tannin.

Taking the price into account, I'm rating this wine a little higher than the other reviews. Medium/full-bodied, showing the soft fruit we expect, but adding a complex edge with its earthy, herb infused finish. Pretty impressive.

Totally acceptable easy-drinking Merlot. Great QPR @$8/bottle. Deep dark crimson color. Big, bold fruit with some spicy notes and good acidity. One of the better <$10 Merlots I've ever tried. Great cellar filler. Bogle makes some great wine for the $$$.

Decent everyday wine. Nothing special or unique. Typical Merlot.

Astringent, angular, austere and unbalanced. There is better wine to choose from than this. A Must miss

Blackberry and vanilla, earthy nose. Soft mouth fill, slight acid bitter and little tannin, some cherry. Drink now.

Fruity nose with raspberry and hints of vanilla on the pallet. Extremely smooth finish. Great bargain for under $10.

Great QPR... It was only 8 bux. Probably one of the better wines I've tasted considering only drinking wine since I turned 21, which was a month ago.
I got some berries in the nose. It had a weird aftertaste that was a little burnt, other than that, very decent.

Red berries and oak. This is a very enjoyable merlot with enough fruit to please and enough spice bite to please the palate.
