P n p, drank over 1.5 hours. Not a shy wine. My friend described it as a freight train, but in a good way. Dark in glass. No sed. The 16.2 alc was not oppressive. Nose was flowery n potent. Palate was definitely new world. An enjoyable drink. Lots of life here.

Lighter in color yet full in the glass. Immediately accessible with a pleasant fruit forward indulgence. Sorry to those that may have popped early - she's in a most excellent drinking window. A touch leather and earth with undertones of red fruit. A winner

Wonderful smooth Grenache, which I opened with a corkscrew and decanted for an hour before sipping the first glass while cooking. Excellent aromas and smooth lingering taste.

Accessed with Coravin. Slightly cloudy garnet color. On the nose, this presents an ample bouquet that is half dusty spice (peppercorn, cardamom) and half saturated fruit (macerated cherries, peach compote). On both the nose and palate this is noticably alcoholic, coming in at a brusque 16.2%. This has the effect of overwhelming most of the flavors, leaving a lingering burning sensation on the back of the tongue. I'm no wilting violet, but this is pointlessly excessive. The supercharged alcohol detracts from the overall experience. Judging by the nose, the terroir and the vines here have potential. Hopefully the winemaker can learn to show a bit of restraint.

Can't help it... I liked this wine. Big, thick, and rich, with a hedonistic, almost flamboyant personality. Not usually my style of grenache. Nevertheless, this was irresistbly likeable tonight. Delicious ripe red fruits are counter balanced nicely by dark wood notes and some welcome spiciness. In fact, there's enough spice and acidity to maintain interest and keep it from cloying. Chewy tannins and decent length too. Big warm friendly hedonistic bottle of wine.

Ripe and thick, with enough lift to keep it from getting gloopy, but the etOh, oh, the etOh - just too pervasive. Candied, alcoholic and well oaked on the nose, this has a very perfumed nose of red and blue fruits, but the alcohol and oak just obscure it too much for my tastes. Short toward medium finish, this is an upper-class party wine, I suppose. Not my preferred drink. If scoring, 84 or so.

PnP served at cellar temp, enjoyed over the following 90 minutes. Medium garnet core, no sign of age. Strikingly sweet red raspberry perfume surrounds a core of kirsch, red floral and vanilla beans. Medium toward full body with gushing acidity and round, sweet tannins. Not until now (as I enter the TN) was I aware that this is labeled 16,2% abv - it just doesn't come through on the wine. Linear and somewhat one dimensional, but so full of flavor and lifted acids that it's really impossible not to like. No structure for ageing, so drink over the next couple of years. This was served side-by-side with John Duval's Plexus 2007, the latter schooled the former in the structure department, but the former had a slight edge in terms of sheer drinking pleasure, albeit a slightly guilty one.

Good wine, murky dirty earthy fruit. Got better with some air -- 1 hour decant or let it sit for a spell. but it's drinking fine now.
