  • This last bottle had a minor flaw. A subtle vegetative aroma and flavor component akin to canned green beans that distracted from what was otherwise a delightful bottle of Pinot Noir.

  • Still delicious, this wine is still tasting extremely good right now !! I agree with my tasting notes of past 8 months !!
Wax seal easily wacked and cracked for simple opening, The composite cork was perfect after over a dozen years in the bottle. Consumed over two days. The first sip was amazingly fruity and the last was amazingly soft and elegant. Deep ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of pomegranate, cherry, and caramel. Flavors of cranberry, black cherry cola, rhubarb, savory mushrooms, hoisin, and spice with a long finish. Great fruit with firm acidity made into a very balanced Pinot Noir from the estate Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hill appellation of Santa Barbara County. This Pinot Noir is an age worthy wine and has more years of life remaining. Fortunately, I still have two more bottles of this vintage remaining in my cellar to revisit in the next year or so. Great fruit and a great winemaking effort from Greg Brewer.

  • Absolutely delicious, this wine is still tasting extremely good right now !!

Aromas of pomegranate, cherry, and caramel. Flavors of cranberry, black cherry cola, rhubarb, savory mushrooms, hoisin, and spice with a long finish. Popped and poured, this wine really benefited from gentle oxygen since it was much softer & more integrated after an hour. • This wine was still fresh and vibrant and could've been kept for another year with similar results. Just singing with beautiful dark red fruit and lovely on the nose. Great balance. Just a fine, fine wine from Melville. Stored in EuroCave for just over 5 years since purchase at the vineyard. Highly recommended and the favorite wine of 5 poured last night.

  • At cellar temperature the nose provided some tack room aroma. I would guess by nose alone that this was a French Pinot. Warming to room temperature a smoky black cherry, (cherry cola?), emerges. Bright acidity with a medium mouth feel and finish on first taste, when it was still a little cold, opening up into a regal liquid with long and lingering finish at room temperature. Some would say the wine is absolutely at its best right now, while others might think one year ago. Either way drink this wine now and I hope you enjoy it as we did.

  • Great floral aromatics is what I noticed first which is something that I don't come by enough in the wines I have had lately. Good mouthfeel with flavors of cranberry and deep red cherry. A very satisfying pinot noir.

  • Ruby red in color, a bit denser in color than most California Pinot Noirs. The nose is somewhat closed but there is red fruit present. The palate is full and fruity with black cherry and raspberry, with hints if anise and mocha. Much fuller than other pinots from this region. There is a nice long smooth finish. I love this wine. I love it. I love it. I love it.

  • Wow - so this was a change after we finished the last glass of a PB Cabernet Franc. Lots of cherry and blueberry, maybe just a sprinkling of a white pepper, but the fruit really stands out. There's a bit of alcohol on the nose and we're prob drinking this a bit too young. Don't feel the heat on the palette though - it's very smooth and tasty. I used the word 'fruiticilious' upon first sip, but that is not really fair - the PB was just very dry and more earthy.

  • exceptional in all aspects. Floral and spic on the nose, fruit filled front tast and aeration. Very full palate with blue and red fruit and lingering finish with moderate tannins. Was great to sip and stood up to food, thanksgiving turkey, very well. A super wine.
