Surprise! A decent Pinot under $15. It's got medium body and flavors, and appropriate tannins. The acidity though, detracts overall. The tannins are slightly grippy; I figure another six months in the bottle might resolve that. With flavors of strawberries, sweet cherries, oak and a hint of earth, the wine should please a crowd.

I've drank a lot of this wine and the 2011 vintage over the past 6 months. When I first tasted it, I liked it so much that I've bought two cases of it. When its good, its almost a 90 point wine. However, there is an enormous amount of bottle variation with this offering (even within the same case) that it leaves me shaking my head.
Tonight's bottle was crimson in color. The nose revealed Strawberry, Bing Cherry and moderate toast aromas. The mouth feel brought more cherry flavors with a hint of raspberry. The finish was moderate and the acidity was adequate. This bottle was one of the better ones and it showed the complexity and integration of fruit and tannins that made me like this wine in the beginning.

I like it for what it is. Good inexpensive Pinot Noir. This was presented as similar to Meiomi. Wouldn't go that far. It is lighter; less extracted, not delicate. Still, not bad.

Tonight's bottle was one of the one dimensional ones. It was ruby in color, the nose showed very muted and subtle cherry, strawberry and moderate toast aromas. The mouth feel brought cherry cough syrup tastes. The finish was moderate and the acidity was adequate. This bottle was flat and uninteresting.

This bottle tonight was one of the off ones. It was completely one dimensional with cherry cough syrup notes. That's it. No complexity, no bright cherry or raspberry notes, no integration of acidity and tannins.

Cork enclosure suggested quality wine but faint nose on opening, pale color on pouring, weak flavor on tasting with a waxy finish. Like drinking cherry-flavored paraffin. Another reason to avoid low-cost California pinot. Think "Sideways" inverted: One is far better off drinking comparably priced Merlot at this price point.

An inexpensive and friendly Pinot Noir.
Somewhat acidic up front, but mellowed nicely after about an hour.
It has aged relatively well.

Pretty good for $10 wine. Reduced some to cook with some brussel sprouts and had the rest with steaks.

Just OK. A bit thin in color, weight, and taste. Reasonable balance for the price. Even at $14, not sure it warrants additional purchase.
