O, go on then... Double decanted; the nose exhibits roses, red fruit, asphalt and ethereal topnotes; on the palate low tannin but perky acidity, good depth, silky and glossy but wonderful typicity, rounded off beautifully; very good length. Just delicious.

Intense and dark ruby red. Nose: red fruit, cherries, perhaps cassis and aromatic herbs. Fresh and enjoyable. Palate: intense and ripe red fruit, but far from cloying. Strong alcohol. Good acidity, almost no tannins, reasonable length. OK, but not one of the best Barbera. **

Starting to come into its own already, still a bit lactic but otherwise very good typicity, silky and glossy but with minerally and spicy depth, aroma of roses, young but very attractive, fun but serious, lively, ripe fruit flavours, very good length. No noticeable oak, an essence of Barbera. Should make a very fine bottle from 2015-2018. I will have none left, I fear.

Very young and primary, delicious ripe Barbera fruit, perfectly absorbed oak, slightly lactic, soft and extremely attractive but well-structured underneath, wonderfully pure, not as big as the (14.5%) alcohol would seem to indicate, lively and fresh, good length, should turn into an impressive wine in 2-3 years. Drink 2014 - 2018.

Not a big Barbera fan but this is well-made and quite exciting. Burlotto is a great producer.
