Dusty nuanced black fruit, Bazooka bubblegum, mushroom, eucalyptus, cocoa. In prime drinking form. Hard to believe I let a $25 bottle age for 5 years, but it was so worth it. One of the best Malbecs I’ve had in a long time.

Last bottle of three. Might be some bottle variation, but this one seems to show significant signs of bricking and a huge earthy and green streak up front, followed by dark, spicy fruit. For an almost 8 year old wine this seems to be maturing quickly; although, there seems to be both enough tannins and acidity left to carry it another 3-5 years. As expected, there was quite a bit of bottle sediment. All in all better than average for the low $20's.

Dark, almost black color with a full bodied texture. After a short decant, it opens immediately with strong aromatics. Lots of ripe, spicy dark berries, mocha, coffee, and some earthiness built around a solid tannic core. Initially seems a bit jammy, but some spicy Mexican food really complements the wine. A solid wine with a great QPR. Drinking well at seven years. Consistent experience from a year ago.

Decanted for about an hour. Full bodied, dark purple almost black color. In spite of some high alcohol, there's lots of mocha, and dark berries, and some terroir driven earthiness. Structured with some tannic backbone, but for less than $25 this is very well done.

Chocolate and dark berries, but overlaid with a lot of alcohol. It could be because it needs more time in the bottle, but it doesn't taste young to me - just hot. Not scoring at this point, though, just in case.

Intense blue fruit, thick, mouth and glass staining juice. The tannins are still very dominant, probably needs at least a couple years, although CT's drinking window starting at 2015 strikes me as a bit long for the varietal.

Ok
Not as much fruit as I would expect from a Malbec.
Ok but disappointing for price

Dark fruits and chocolate on nose and palate. Full-bodied with a medium finish. Drinks well for the price point.
