What a nice surprise here, it is perfectly balanced wine with medium body firm but gentle, very delicious. In great condition now but surely will keep for 2-3 years.

My favourite style of wine. Sure its fat and in your face and similar to Te Koko, but the Assertyko adds more minerality. Probably needs a year to calm down a but. Te koko is best at around 7 years after the vintage and it will be interesting to see what develops here. Must remember to make this a regular purchase.

Exhuberant citrus nose, complex with aromatic herbs and stone fruit with judicious oak influence. Very powerful palate with high acidity, high extract and long fiinsh. Maybe a little too much of a good thing? Despite being so extrovert though it pairs very well with food. One of the top greek whites definitely.

Intensely aromatic, aromas reminiscent of Sauvignon blanc. It was tasted alongside a powerful New Zealand Sauvignon and it seemed to me to lack weight comparatively but I also remember the wine from other vintages being more oaked and lush.

Ultra-Premium Greek Whites (Le Petit Sommelier Restaurant, Athens, Greece): WOTN for me and shared No 1 position with Therinos 2010 according to the panel. Seductive nose of lime zest, herbs, apricot and less oak than previous vintages. Very sauvignon-like (reminiscent of a cool-climate rather than a Greek sauvignon blanc) although there is no sauvignon blanc in the blend, but semillon and assyrtiko. Medium-bodied, extremely refreshing and zippy with bright fruit and lipsmacking acidity. Long aftertaste. Different to previous vintages but equally good if not better. 12 points overall.

Oinorama Wine Fair 2012; 3/17/2012-3/18/2012: (Tasted at Oinorama) Full and refreshing nose with a delicate herbal feel to it. Full mouth again, mild acidity, more herbal than past vintages, seems a bit uneven.

Semillon 50%, Assyrtiko 50%. Tremendously well made and attractive white. Balanced, rich and long. Very good!
