I think RACCAH summed this up very well--I'd say in comparison to bottles consumed several years ago the fruit is definitely darker, the palate not as brisk, and thus is moving along in drinking window. Very good at that, but agree now's the time to drink up.

Probably a bit tired and a little green around the gills (or a hint TCA? I couldn't quite decipher what was going on). If I had another bottle I wouldn't wait to drink it...

Sweet nose with dark fruit and tart ripe red fruit, smoke, and toast. Nice smokey mouth with great acid and attack, but not as focused as the Bourgogne, with now more temperate tannin, jammy blackberry, and plum, with sweet red fruit cherry and currant, that is coating and attacking and lightly extracted. The finish is long and fruity with sweet spices, toast, cinnamon, cloves, and licorice. Drink by 2019

Nice color. Very expressive nose for an entry level burgundy with red fruit base (raspberries, stawberries and currants) with floral and mineral accents. Fruit and floral driven palate, that's richer and a rounder mouthfeel for the region without it feeling extracted or new-world. Nice bright acidity with integrated tannins on a nice, balanced finish.
Extremely approachable, fruit-driven wine. While clearly burgundian, no barnyard notes or austerity -- fairly crowd-pleasing style. Had a little bit left over but lost a lot of its floral accents on day 2. In a very good spot and would drink up now... given the more straightforward, fruit driven style that doesn't seem too driven in terrior, I don't imagine it would gain much tertiary notes with more age.

Translucent deep red with a rich bouquet. Ripe cherries and other red fruits with underlying smokey baking spice. Elegant, medium body with good viscosity and an upfront, refreshing acidity. Excellent intensity of flavours with cherry, strawberry, charred rose pedals, and well integrated spice. Tannins are apparent, but frame the wine rather than overwhelm. A very nice Village Burgundy!

Very nice. Nice mix of lively cherry/raspberry with aged fruit in nose and palate. Mid weight with good balance and length, indeed finesse with acid/mineral tones. Was pleased by the depth and richness here.

The initial funk dissipated after breathing for a few hours. The scent is spice, pepper, ash and a bit of ripe cherry. The palate is smooth and medium bodied with tea, red cherry, earth flavors. There is ample acidity and a long finish. All this makes for a very nice food wine.

The 2005 version of this wine was the one that really got me into Burgundy and happy to report that the 2010 might be the best version yet. Not as big and ripe as the 2005, this is beautifully proportioned with a strong mineral backbone, tension and precision that I mostly find in higher level village and 1er crus. Very expressive aromatically with cooking spices and crushed red fruits. Good mix of red and black fruits on the palate with a touch of volcanic ash and spice. Tasty and very more-ish.

This is one of the nicest generic Côtes de Nuits-Villages wines I have had. Extremely pretty aromatics. Pure, bright fruit flavours of cranberry and cherry. A really pure, fairly long and transparent finish, with a touch of spice and orange rind. Amazing value.

Tart red berries, black cherry, spice and some wood notes dominate the nose. Palate is really pretty...cherry, raspberry, strawberry, nutmeg, minerals, ginger and grapefruit.....finish is medium+......really pretty. Give this til 2014 if possible for next bottle...but hard to resist

Deep garnet color. Medium body. Pop 'n pour. Nose of black cherry. Lots of black cherry, blueberries, and plums on the palate. Smooth as silk, but also firm with a nice acidic backbone. Excellent; superior to the 2009 (which I also liked).

8 euros at Carrefour. Superb QPR, the equivalent of a $30 Pinot noir in Australia. Reasonably deep cherry color, nose of vanilla and red fruits. Cherry on the palate with a hint of that savourieness that makes a great Pinot noir. I've had more complex ones but it's pretty darn good for the price. Good stuff!

Great, as always - identical to my note from 2013. Surprisingly open - this might have never shut down. Love the transparency here.
