Golden in color. Moderate glycerin somewhat full bodied. Minerality, well integrated flavors. Just the slightest bit flat, which may be the age as this is a bit past its prime. Still enjoyable. A good wine and value. (Paid about $13.50 at the winery for it a few years back.)

Hay, tropical fruits, green apple and a hint of sugar. Maybe waxy, almost like a chenin. Palate is creamy, spicy, and mouth-filling. After a dense mid palate, it finishes fresh with an abundance of tropical fruit and sharp green apple. Not exceptionally long or complex, but very acceptable for the price. Holding up well.

This is all about exotic fruit. Banana, quince, white peach. An easy-to-drink, modern crowd-pleaser. Not exactly my thing, but the QPR is good and it works well with certain foods (gambas, etc.). Obviously not to be aged.

I do love Janasse’s whites…they always show beautifully and at a really competitve price point compared to whatesoever can be found out there. As for the CdR, Janasse only makes one cuvée, more expensive than its red counterpart but less than the villages red. It’s well made, with a beautiful introductory nose to Southern Rhone’s style, and a mouth made of lime, citrus and apples. The mouth, particularly its final, is quite undefined though, prohibiting this wine to reach some competitive level of quality for the money. It drinks awfully well, as my guest and I emptied the bottle in a uncommonly fast fashion. A nice white wine. 87 points

Notes of hay & straw, and a variety of fruits - smells very much like a fruit sundae in fact. Maybe a whiff of creamy butter too. Fresh palate, nice zippy acidity, with a fruit rich mid palate. Stony minerality throughout. Some bitterness (pithy astringency?) on the finish. This is a wine that needs food, maybe an oily river fish?

Green apple, pretty sharp and a touch tart. Some spicy. Waxy feel to it. One to drink early.

Some tropical fruit notes, a little creamy, some mineral aromas. Easy drinking, soft, with good acidity.

Apples, pears, melon, pineapple. Touch of cream. Some minerality. Decent enough.
