Broke out a 10 year old cab to pair with a wonderful lamb shoulder. The wine is still going strong. Lots of fruit remain with well integrated tannins and oak. Classic blue and even red fruit flavors. Have to think there are years ahead too.

This has aged beautifully with the tannins, which were big and up front in 2008, have now harmonized with the oak and the still abundant fruit; as much red as black. Tasty. Been stored at 55 degrees all its life.

This was not as good as the '05 Estate Seven Hills Cab we had last night. This had a bit of animal fur to it, a touch of Brettanomyces I think. Still good blueberry fruit, stone and a nicely acidic bite. I could do without the fur.

Lovely aroma of dried cherries, plums, and flowers. Palate is medium to light body with a long dusty tannin finish. This wine is ready to go and probably won't improve.

This was all oak monster when I opened it right out of the cellar, but after an hour in the decanter, it was yummy. Still nowhere near my favorite Klipsun wine, but true to place.

Some toffee on the bouquet. The wine is quite dry with high notes of minerality almost astringent on the mid-palate, medium body, short finish. Great with grilled lamb. Wine is good, but not rushing to buy again.

From a bottle opened six days earlier. Absolutely singing, with aromas of plum, dark fruit, mineral and spices. Richly textured, with lush dark fruit and sweet blackberry flavors. Long fruit filled finish. Excellent.

Served nonblind with dinner after the December Blind Drunks tasting. Same dark fruit profile as the Estate Cabernet, with a spice note rather than mineral. Still very well-balanced, and should age very well. I had a slight preference for the Estate, though that's spltting hairs a bit as they're both excellent and worth seeking out.

Drinking well. Definitely showing some age, but not yet over the hill. Big on the nose and palate. Very nice!

Herbal aromatics with a slightly hollow midpalate and a nice finish that is sleek and well defined.

Dark purple, almost black in center. Blue/purple fruits, roses, violets, honey suckle. Nice acid and structure for a ripe Washington red.
