And another really good bottle of this, this seems a little fresher and less tertiary than my last bottle. Open and radiant, with ecxcellent balance of sweetness and acidity, also really good length. A really nice Auslese that is in a perfect spot now and for the next 10 years or so.

I haven‘t had this in a few years and it‘s still going strong. Notes of apple, vanilla, sweet spices, petroleum, some lactic notes too, slatey minerality, some saffron, and just beautiful overall balance of fruit and tertiary notes. It‘s medium bodied, with still nice medium-high acidity and just medium sweetness that is beautifully balanced by the acidity. A very nice Auslese from this probably underrated producer. Drink up.

Medium golden color. Beautifully aged notes of petroleum, safran, apricot, peach, ripe pear, smoke. It's medium+ bodied with still pretty high acidity and medium sweetness. A medium-bodied beautifully aged Auslese. I somehow forgot a little about this producer but whenever I open a bottle I thoroughly enjoy them.

No longer much sweetness (traditional Kabinett level perhaps), all secondary, well-balanced. A good but not exciting wine and would drink within a couple of years.

Holy Mosel. This is the whole package. Slate to the tenth degree, creamy peaches, searing acidity, and just starting to develop a touch of petrol secondary qualities and integrate into a cohesive statement. I wish I had a ton of this, so sad to see it go.

Tasted as part of the WinoDepot.com Tasting With Friends for July, 2007. Opened and poured without decanting. Pale gold in color and clear throughout. Beautiful nose of stone fruits and green apples. The palate follows similar notes and some wonderful added spice. Excellent mouthfeel and nice balance.

This wine put most other Auslese at the tasting to shame in my opinion. A stunningly pure expression of slate and minerality. Wonderful clean notes of white pear and apple. Full bodied with a thick texture but it somehow gave a very lithe impression. Perfectly balanced. 93-94 points.

Nice yellow fruits. Sweetness moderated by time. Very enjoyable, but I don't think one for the ages.
