Highly sought after in France; I am pleased to have gotten a few bottles. A profound Chinon in both color and flavor. A deep dive into black berries followed by a voluptuous , spicy finish. Delicious to drink and savor on its own, but really shines with a rich meal of game or roast lamb . Drinking beautifully now

Délicieux! Nez de cerises, de poivron rouge, chocolat. Un vin joufflu et savoureux, un fruit mûr sucré, avec une bonne longueur et une complexité respectable. Rapport qualité/prix imbattable. Prêt à boire mais rien ne presse. 92 pts

Le vin présente de nez intense de poivrons rouges grillés, avec une belle panoplie de nuances. En bouche, on retrouve une belle concentration,. avec une assez longue finale toute en fraîcheur. Moins boisé que les autres Alliet dont je me souviens, moyennement concentrée, cette cuvée a atteint son plateau selon moi : à boire d'ici les 5 prochaines années. 92

Vin rouge de Chinon avec des notes de cerises et de fraises sur une belle complexité. Des notes rondes avec un peu de mordant dans les tannins. 91 sur 100.

Mainly black cherries, deep and concentrated fruit with a lot of salinity, tannins well present. The wine is lingering during the evening between being well accessible and being closed showing bell pepper notes. Some longer snooze in the cellar is recommended.

Nose of forest floor in clean blackberry. Nice wet stone also. Really a lovely nose. Entry is close to the nose, very tasty. Finish is clean and nicely aged, melts in your mouth really. This is the definition of "juicy" in a wine, plush with still a bit of energy. I suppose it can mean lower acidity, but in this older sample it also comes with complexity. Not at all the same as a juicy wine made to drink when bottled. Not flaccid or weak at all, just tasty.

Always a bit of a chance in this area getting a Chinon with ripe fruit, but this showed that in a good vintage with a good winemaker what a delight Chinon can be. Very dark colour, aromatic nose with some veg and spices, lovely dark cherry flavours wih spice and the tannins well absorbed, some cedar on the finish, a very drinkable bottle but not easy to come by which is a shame.

Strong nose; stone and vegetable in a dark fruit and oak backdrop. Entry is not as strong as the nose and dominated by baked plums. Finish is cedar, tobacco, leather. Tannins are weighty and nicely done. Extended to 2030.

Les tanins commencent à se fondre, c'est fin et délié. Pour mieux l'apprécier en ce moment, il convient de faire décanter 1 heure environ. C'est très bon, mais j'ai une préférence pour la Croix Boissée de Bernard Baudry.

Nez de tomates séchées et poivron rouge, avec du jambon fumé et du café. Après 30 min., un coté animal fait apparition, pour disparaitre ensuite. Magnifique texture en bouche, tanins fins, de l'élégance, le fruit est mûr. Par contre après quelques heures il se referme sérieusement, il faut le boire dans l'heure ou préférablement l'attendre 7 ou 8 ans. Très beau potentiel, c'est un achat incontournable.. 92+ pts

Carré, viril, il fait plus Bordeaux rive gauche que Chinon... À l'aveugle, il trompe à coup sûr. Potentiel énorme sur cette bouteille, plus équilibré et en finesse que le 2009, mais sans aucune verdeur.

Difficile d'y penser à l'aveugle....Nez de café, de poivron rouge. Il a une texture de syrah, superbe. Il a de l'étoffe et de la fraîcheur, de la définition. Encore un peu fermé, mais superbe équilibre et potentiel. 91 pts

Nose is a touch smoky with a bit of dark cherry coming through. Very rich mouth of dark fruit. A brooding back end with loads of complexity and fairly fine tannins. Good tart acidity with wood and smoke. Not as precise as L'Huisserie at this point. It smoothed out considerably after decant time; still the same elements but smoother and better integrated. This is serious and needs time.
