  • really nice with a balance of citrus and sweetness, more angular than many typical Bouchard bottlings but a few degrees to the right (ie to the round side) of Meursault Charmes (esp'ly for an '11)... very nice bottle

  • this was very nice indeed (again), it walked the line between bright and tight, citrus fruit, M-Chrms and the tendency toward richness / sweetness that often Bouchard produces... this was in the middle of those two and that made it very enjoyable for a wide array of the crowd on this night

  • really really nice -- could have been 92, and in keeping with Bouchard style a little less acidity and tension that I prefer, still a really nice citrus profile with some subtle sweetness, but just not the lift for a higher score... on the other hand my friend (not a frequent white burg drinker, or frankly a white drinker at all) loved it -- not surprising

  • beautiful bottle of wine, med plus depth... almost full bodied, bright acidity, lemony palate, with some mint and rind... love it, classic meursault charms with Bouchard's little bit of extra oomph

  • Add this on bridge night, was most powerful upon opening, after one hour and decanter and another 1 to 2 hours of drinking, it was still fantastic but slightly more dilute, not sure if this means it is shutting down a bit, but if you drink them now I would pop and pour, good solid citrus fruit profile with tons of minerals

  • super nice, still bright and tight with plenty of acid and structure to age well (assuming no premox comes on), white wine of the night for us and the stockwell's... it went fast

  • first of a case purchased after i loved this wine in french polynesia, btw fyi that the wine lists in french polynesia are great, felt like i was in france, this was mouthwateringly acidic with great lemony flavor on the pop-n-pour, Tiff loved it, after an hour in the decanter it showed some oak and gained some texture (which i loved but Tiff said was slightly less enjoyable than when first opened), on night two we both loved it and it seemed to be right in the middle of the two experiences on night one, this is def'ly too young and should become 93-94 with 5+ years of cellaring (or lots more decanting)

  • had a bottle in Bora Bora and then two in Papeete (Fr Polynesia), all off hotel wine lists, all three bottles were fantastic, big wines for sure with plenty of wood but also plenty of material to hold up, good acid and good tension / verve, more citrus (my preference) than tropical fruit… great experiences… i just bought a case and a half… feels like great QPR

  • A pale yellow color with a slight green tint, very aromatic on the nose revealing citrus, butter, nuttiness, acacia flowers, vanilla, with hints of gunflint, and white pepper. Very sweet flavors on entry with pear, green apples that lead to a broad creamy midpalate dominated by citric acidity. The finish is long on this mid bodied Meursault, it reveals mouth tingling saline minerality as well as spiciness. Very lively bursting with energy, but still very young.
