A shade darker in color than the '09 Felsina CCR. Nice "chiseled" nose featuring crisp red fruits (cranberry?).
The acidity here is not as pronounced as on the Felsina, but still adequate. Pretty nice for an entry-level wine, and certainly good QPR. I haven't really tried any riserva-level wines from the 2010 vintage, but off several of the normales, I think this will end up being a very good vintage.

Translucent ruby in the glass; sweet red cherry fruit on a nicely focused nose.
Decent acidity framing the fruit on the palate - nice finish. Not overly complex, but hard to argue with this wine given the price tag. Another in a long line of quality base chiantis available to the consumer - IMO, for plain Classico releases and even base riservas, hard to find a geographic area today with more QPR than Chianti.

Light, easy drinking pop and pour Chianti for backyard BBQ aperitifs. Its really fine for what it is, its just that its not really very much. Technically well made by a top notch producer who uses this as their most entry level of entry level Chiantis.

From a bottle opened last night.
A darker translucent ruby in the glass; the nose is earthy and features red fruits.
Tart red fruits on the palate, good framing acidity, somewhat abbreviated finish. Okay, but no bell ringer.

Quiet aroma and light red color. Good body and some complexity on the structure. Good powder and spice.

Ein Wein, der schön zur Pizza passt. Sonst keines Aufhebens wert. Etwas bäuerlich. Das Gut hat schon bessere Jahrgänge hinbekommen.

Lighter bodied but good fullness to the wine.
