While I tend to like aged Riesling very much and this producer and particular wine should be great after 10 years in bottle, this wine is not showing all that well in my opinion. There is plenty to be happy about with petrol and flowery notes and a rich palate, but there his also a certain bitterness and signs of oxidation that make it less than stellar. Nice, but not great.

Light honey coloured. Delicious aromas of ripe pineapple, pakistani mango and tropical fruit juice. The taste is mature and nicely developed with yellow fruits. Medium + body with a fine, oily mouth feeling. Slightly sweet-ish with 9,1 g res. sugar and moderate acidity

Yellow, pear and apple. Mineral and some herbal notes. Medium finish. Good strength and you can taste it is the best part of Roseneck and alte reben. At least 2-4 years more on the top under the right circumstances.

She gone! This wine was nice and fresh with mineral and floral notes typical of the vineyard... for about 18 months. Now showing oxidised nose of candied orange peel and aldehydes with some oxidised phenols reminiscent of tulips that have passed. Disappointing for the price. If you still have some, maybe use it in an Asian food dish?

Leitz tasting (NU Bistro, Budapest): The single vineyard wines got 1.5 hours decanting, but this still has a bit of reduction, although it's not a big issue fortunately. More concentration, but a closed, muted nature also comes with that. Nice greenish, limey edge to the aromatics. Full-bodied with higher alcohol, acidity less pronounced, off-dry. A bit of bitterness at the end. It could have more finesse.

Purchased at Nomad for $85, light yellow, almost white in the glass, lighter weight and light on its feet with citrus and mineral notes, easy drinking, very good with the food

Minerals, lime, and roses on the nose. Great focus on the palate with plenty of weight balancing out the dry, fresh, acidity. Drinking very well now this wine should evolve for another 3-5 years. Drink now through 2018.

Seem to be in a phase where the acidity is subdued. The wine seem a bit unfresh at the moment. Will wait 2-3 years for next bottle.

Wonderful stuff here, with impressive lingering acidity. The loveliness this leaves at the door after leaving is very memorable.
