This was great! My Gran loved it. It had honeyed aromas of peaches, apricots, cloves, vanilla and beeswax. Its medium bodied concentrated and lush plate was just terrific with wonderful depth and layering. Ended medium and balanced. Disappeared very quickly. My Gran asked for another bottle!

Golden colour; smells of sweet grilled pineapples with a hint of sweet honeyed apricots. On the palate, it is very simple where the sweet pineapples and dried apricots are layered with some botyrized fruit. Not cloying at all; somewhat light-medium bodied with a short-medium finish. The acidity is not enough to keep up with the sweetness of this wine; don't think this has a long cellar life. This is a very good priced Sauternes in my opinion($20 for the bottle).

Honey golden color! With a touch of coconut and dried apricot! Sweet on the palate without doubt! Rather simple with a touch of wood! Fine and pure. Pair it with duck liver pate which is very nice!

peach/apricot nose, orange peel and pink grapefruit on the palate. Balanced but not greatly interesting, with a feeling that some of the thickness that is missing would help it out.

Nose of rich apricot and spicy botrytis, with tropical touches as well. Excellent on the palate, thick and rich, but needs more acid, lacks some intensity. That said, it is a 2nd wine, so we'd expect that. Not bad QPR for Sauternes (£13/half) 88-89

Fairly deep gold – lovely nose of ripe pear and honey. Sweet and rich palate, with decent, but not exceptional intensity. Just needs a bit more zip and depth. One of the better 2nd wine Sauternes I have had – still no match for the real deal. (14)

(at Pomme – St Louis, no formal notes) Medium gold. Good grapey/botrytis nose. The taste falls a bit flat as there is good richness, but little depth of fruit. Still a nice sweet wine considering this is a second wine. (14)

a great wine for the price, this baby Rieussec is full of young tropical fruit and a little more watered down than its big brother

Not showing as well as it was this past summer. Definately good, though.

Honey and carmel notes with a little heat. Syrupy sweet. Thick and tingly 45 second finish.

The wine was very delightful. We had it with Foie Gras and it went perfectly. It drank as well as his big brother. Highly recommended.
