Very dark purple. Smokey meat, herbs, and black fruits with depth and complexity. Held its own in a cab tasting that included heavy hitters from Cayuse, Dunn, and Caymus. In a good place right now but has at least 5 years left and probably more.

Gobs of fresh fruit and the youthful awkwardness of a younger wine. Has the touch of "green" on the nose that is my marker for so many WA wines. Two more years would've significantly improved this bottle.

Oaky but I thought it was much better than the last time I had it. Smoothing out over time and with one more year I think it will be grat. Too bad it is my last one.

A bit of a bruiser. muddled nose of dark fruit, cocoa, and hint of vanilla. Palate has blueberries, dark fruit, black currant, tobacco, and dark chocolate flavors along with plenty of spicy oak that forms the overall experience. Medium length finish, medium complexity, but still, a muddled melange. Not my cup of tea.

Opened a bottle in memoriam. The only way I can describe the nose is to say BBQed raspberries - smoke and red fruit, and it's a wonderful nose. The palate, deep dark red fruit, strawberries, meat and smoke. long finish with a very slight touch of heat, but overall extremely well balanced. Fantastic wine.

Rich and layered. Aromas of cherry, currant, vanilla and cocoa. Silky textured with round tannins. Flavors of cherry, currant and creme brûlée. Very nice and improved over previous bottle, though with only a medium finish.

Hrmm.. Read through the previous reviews and am wondering if I drank the same bottle of wine. Poured in a decanter to get some air for approximately 2 hours. When served I did not find vanilla or over blown oak. Instead I enjoyed a dark fruit with one of my favorite regional scents/flavors of menthol/mint. I am a sucker for cabs with the mint/menthol scent and flavor profile. This provided that mint/menthol in an almost annoyingly flirtatious manner. i.e. I could smell it and imagine it but could not taste it. Flavor of dark fruits (again) and a touch of the oak others have mentioned (not overbearing to me though). Left wanting more of the characteristics I yearned for but exactly that.. left wanting more. 1 remaining and will save it for 3-4 years to see what happens to it. 90pts.

Dark in color. Somewhat closed on the nose, with aromas of dark cherry, currant and spice. Flavors of dark cherry, black currant and vanilla. Long finish, with solid tannins. Pleasant enough, with decent acidity, but a bit too much oak.

very tannic and closed at this stage, even with a lot of air. tough to score at this point, there's a lot going on, but its hard to pick out behind the allt he oak flavor and wood tannin.

Beautiful wine. Very little green pepper. Oaky, smooth, mostly black but some red fruit. Very representative of Washington.

Touch of vegetal/green that paired well with Indian curry. Odd, I know. Thus the TN.

Super oaky, big bruiser. Nice but expect a lot of vanilla, etc.

Damn good juice. Deep, dark, layered. Smooth, lingering finish. Glad to have half a case left to see what more time will do.......

Second bottle and still not finding the flash that the professional reviewers have found. Not bad, but not great. If scoring, 88-90.

Slightly overblown on the oak. Black fruit gets overshadowed by vanilla. Sweet gripping tannins.
