As with the prior two bottles, this is a very interesting wine. Color of purple red. Scents of blueberry. Tastes are sweet overall, very fruit forward, specifically ripe blueberries. Very nice overall. Grenache blend from Loring.

I was shocked when I opened this, not in the fruit-forwarding style of Loring. With 75% Grenache, I expected big bright fruit. There was none of that. With the fruit coming from Paso Robles, I was even more surprised.
This is ready to drink, no benefit to aging longer.

Drank over the course of 2 days. The first night we did a pnp, and I think it could have used a bit more time. This wasn't quite to my style. It was just a bit too hot and very strong with the fruit.

First off, for nearly 16% ABV, this is incredibly smooth. Doesn't show its alcohol at all. It is bold, brash, with load of blueberry, hints of smoke and tannin. Like a Priorat on steroids, though not quite as minerally. I'm very happy with this bottle and would like to have another to see how it ages, but I'll have to wait until the next Loring release.

I know how much Brian hates VA, so I was shocked to find so much in this bottle. Once you move past the VA, a light raspberry/strawberry nose, with no detectable heat. On the palate, the VA is a distraction but not overwhelming. The Mourvedre plays an excellent backdrop providing texture to the Grenache. Not particularly enjoyable.

Twist and pour through Vinturi ... This is my first Loring Wine experience and, wow, it is huge, with a capital H-U-G-E. Big blackberry cream pie hits you up front. There are tannins and acid to balance, so it's not crazy soft and sweet, but it's definitely a big blue-black monster ... and I'm someone who likes huge wines. We closed this up after a glass and a half and will revisit tomorrow night hoping it's calmed down a bit, as, while tasty, this was a little too much, even for us.
DAY 2: This did calm down and better integrate by day two, but it was still pretty primary. Again, not even slightly bad, but really, REALLY big.

Like others have said, candied cherries, soft tannins, and a little acidic. It's very light and not what I was expecting. Opened to pair with baby back ribs and the wine will probably get lost in it.

Was afraid this might not hold up, so I wanted to ere on the side of finishing this on the early side. Pleasantly surprised. Soft tannins and pleasant mouthfeel. Plum, raspberry, candied fruit.

Had this with loring when he are to Meadville. Bright red nose. The palate is also bright and red and missing some depth for me. Seem spices but not enough to hold my interest. Kind of thin compared to the divergence.

Falltacular 2013 (FMIII in the OC): Candied and sweet fruit flavor with a hint of spice. Big full flavored wine as one might expect. I did enjoy this in a hedonistic way.

The wine is a deep ruby red, much lighter at the edge. The very pleasing nose has blackberries, cherries, earthy underbrush, minerals, baking spices, and some dried herbs. The wine has a full body, fairly solid, ripe tannins, and good acidity. The palate is loaded with spicy, juicy berries, but it's not all about the fruit, there is also nice minerality, dried herbs, and earthiness coming in on the back end adding depth and complexity. The fairly long finish is a nice continuation of the palate with some additional baking spices and dried herbs kicking into high gear. This is on the young side, but absolutely delicious today.

Color red with light edges. Scents of blackberry, blueberry and anise. Tastes are sweet overall, very fruit forward, specifically ripe blueberries and blackberries. Nice overall. Although this is a grenache blend from Loring, its style reminded me of the very very fruit forward style of a Mollydooker Shiraz.

Very young smelling duh! A hint of smoke around cherry candy. Some raspberry notes in there. The smell is almost sweet but not overripe. The palate does show some sweetness up front with ripe red berries and cinnamon. Some hints of licorice as well. The body and texture are not as large as I was expecting. Good wine for when sweet and uncomplicated is necessary.

Bright red fruit, candied cherry. Smooth finish. Full bodied, but not as overextracted as Divergence.
