Still think this is one of the best values in the market. 10 years on and this wine had lots of life left. Scruffy, sundried tan bark tannins mixed with black cherry skins and pressed anise and blackberry bramble create a dark wine with lively acidity. Big fan of this wine for the price.

Absolutely top notch wine! This is as good as any Napa or Sonoma BDX blend I have every tasted. It is perfectly balanced, nice, but not overpowering fruit up front, lingering mid and back palate and really broad spectrum tannins that are really soft. Just lovely stuff. I wish I had more than 1 bottle left.

Have to concur with the other reviews -- this is an outstanding value wine. Drinks like something that is at least 3x the price. Wish I had picked up more. It's on the fruity side for a cab, plum and other dark fruit mostly. Inky dark in the glass, full mouth feel. Clean finish. Was not expecting this!

To think I paid $20 at Costco 5 years ago is incredible. This wine was one of the better Sonoma Cabs I have ever had. Great fruit, sweet tannins, a full palate that just went on and on after it left my mouth. Great wine.

Found at Costco for $20. What a steal. It has been 20 years or more since I tasted a Marlstone, but this was as good as I remember the blend to be. I will definitely buy this again if I ever see it at Costco or for close to this price. This has definitely some more time to peak. I would try again in 6 months. This was PnP but a one hour decant would be of benefit.
Deep garnet and purple colors. Nice legs. Oak comes through on the nose. Very rich and full bodied, tones of black fruit. Lovely wine. Could age 10 years or more from now. Allow a full 1, if not 2, hour decant. this wine will not disappoint.

Love love the nose on this wine. The color is also very sexy. Big red ripe fruit on the nose then some mocha and vanilla. Very interesting wine. Full bodied and soft tannins even for a wine like this!? Amazing. Good mouthfeel to it as well. Acidity is good too... A easy wine to drink and good on its own. Though I would recommend a pork chop to go with this one. One of my favorites to drink

This opaque crimson wine (a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 4% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot) was Vinturi-decanted and serially tasted over the ensuing 2-3 hours. The nose is intense, showing a beautiful mixture of black raspberries, coriander, cardamom and licorice. Full-bodied, round and elegant on the palate, with medium fine-grained tannins, well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%) and a luscious flavor profile which is in line with the nose. The mouth texture is silky and the middle palate is solid, leading to a long, smooth finish. This Clos du Bois bottling demonstrates the "sexy" feminine elegance that can be achieved with Alexander Valley fruit. It is thoroughly enjoyable now and should drink nicely for at least another decade. Drink now-12/22.

Really great blend, full bodied, lingers on the pallet, hint of tannins, could benefit from more age?

Great nose. Had with lamb chops. I thought it needed longer decanting.

Really bold. More like a syrah. Would let it rest for a few more years and decant.
