Medium ruby. Medium-intensity nose of candied fruit (cherry/raspberry) and herbs. Strong palate of overly sweet cherry coke. Medium-light body, fairly silky, with reasonable acidity, but the tannins are harsh and the sweet/artificial fruit quickly gives way to bitter. Short finish of artificial fruit and sage.

Pale strawberry colour; light nose with jammy fruit and herbs, some freshness and Pinot typicity; the palate lets the wine down, sweetish and weak, with disjointed and drying tannins; reasonable length, finishes with herbs and tea. It is not undrinkable but there is an artificial feel to the whole package - it gives the impression of being designed to suit a certain (assumed) taste.

exactly what one would expect the aussies to do with a pinot. a bit more new world/ in your face style than the pinots I have been drinking- I like it for a change of pace. still light on the tannins, but remains interesting throughout. can stand up to a wider variety of foods and has some interesting fruit/spice notes on the palate. Not much of a finish, but an interesting pinot. would buy it again- bring to a pot luck....

Doesn't really taste like a traditional Pinot Noir, but it also does taste more complex and interesting than anything for $6.00 probably ought to. I will definitely buy this again!

Slight funk on the nose at first but mostly fruit on the nose and palate. Not interesting in any way but also no major flaws. Not bad for the $4 I paid for it.

Pretty decent effort for a value priced Pinot. This is not going to get any rewards for intensity and complexity, but it is very drinkable and quite stylish, especially compared to most others at this price. They did not do anything controversial here, none of those secondary flavors, just almost medium bodied, varietally correct, soft, but expressive Pinot. The color is classic light magenta. Can easily see your two fingers. The nose is very fresh wild red cherry, fresh picked red raspberry, and a nice hint of violets. The fruit does it's job across the palate with a competent, almost mouth filling, hit, of this time, black fruit. Really not very tannic. The oak, alcohol, and acid are working, mostly unnoticed keeping things in balance. The finish is on the weak side.

nose: dusty raspberries, anise, hint of cherry
palate: cherries and raspberries. quite fresh and fruity. soft tannins. spice and liquorice on the medium-long finish.
good balance, a simple on the palate but the finish alone is worth 5 bucks.
