WOW. So much better than my previous notes from 2018! Rich, lucious soft mouthfeel with lingering finish. Simply spectacular. I would drink NOW - no reason to hold. Wish I had more!!

2007 Chateauneuf-du-Pape tasting: Feels tired. Not quite undrinkable yet, but certainly past its peak. This already has a rather strong soy sauce taste, with very little else left, but in a few years this will be undrinkable.

Decanted 3 hours. Superb SdP. Very enjoyable right now. lots of fresh fruits , chocolate mocha, new leather and violets. some plum reduction. This one was accompanying fillet mignon and roasted vegetables. Delicious.

Still closed a bit. But doubt it will change much. Powerful and in the same time elegant. Dominated with red fruit. Tasted along 2014 Denner Dirt Worshipper . More exotic nose from Denner this time. I liked CDP but this was my last bottle.

Full, dark rich. Very fragrant floral nose. Substantial mouthfeel of rich dried fruit, spice with tingling edges. It opened and soften just a tad after time in the glass, but I feel that this may further calm down and drink better after a couple more years.

This delicious wine pops with flowers, cherries and earthy scents that bring you to a mouthful of freshness, flavor and silky textured, ripe, spicy, sweet red berries. There is a good prolonged sensation of freshness in the finish. The wine was produced from 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah.

Friday Night Double Blind Semi-Mondo $80+ (Bin 75): Dark core with light garnet rim; more modern nose but not oaky, fig, purple fruit, ripe and round; soft and friendly palate, sweet almost confected fruit, baby aspirin, sweet and tart raspberry; very good; haven't tasted many 2011s but this is encouraging.

Yes, it’s more complex and structured with plenty of spices and a full-throttle mouthfeel. The whole stuff is scissors-cut, although it lacks the power and concentration to hold against stronger vintages. 92 points
