'Unscrewcapped in the am drank around 7pm. Part of the PDX price dump, this certainly delivers. Bright and nervy, this carries a tasty edge of dark berries that have the acidic zip of a red fruit, such as a raspberry. Lovely overall elegance that certainly tips the hat that this Ms. Fox's handiwork. 2010 Structure is evident as this still tastes young to me, and a nice closing note of orange peel. Reminds me of a strong Gevrey Villages wine - and even at the regular price of $35(?) I would have been happy, at $18 a steal.

Drank this as part of a 5 year vertical (2010-2014 vintages). This was one of our favorites of the 5. They all were nicely opened/developed by the third night.

Quite an excellent wine. Lean, but quite balanced. Fruit still showing but not leading in mid '16, nice acid without tartness, still some grip. Lacks the spicy, musky layers of its best Burgundian models, but this wine is remarkable to age so nicely.

Popped (or, more accurately, twisted) and poured. Everything I love about Oregon Pinot was in this bottle. Fragrant red fruits (strawberry, underripe cherry) with a touch of cherry-pit/bitter almond lending depth and complexity. The finish was long and creamy with a hint of vanilla. Finessed, elegant and so very more-ish.

Been open for 3 weeks and now delivering a beautiful nose of strawberries that shows on the palate as well. This wine will clearly age for decades (assuming no funny busienss from the screw top closure).

Clio's 7th Birthday (Todd's House): Light in color and body. Very feminine nose of red fruits. Open on the palate and forward, but then the cola and tannins build up. This is fine Oregon wine. Open for business now, but great structure. Fine tannins that should help this wine age for decades.

Absolutely beautiful, fleshy, delicious deep red fruit on the nose. Very exuberant, but still pleasing and integrated. The beauty continues on the palate, showing vibrant red fruits that are beautifully ripe and soft. So pleasing on the palate. The '08 showed more obvious structure on the palate at this phase, but this is more open and seamless. The finish dials up that structure, as things get tarter here, but still very pleasing and beautiful. Tannins and structure build and surprised me a bit since the nose and palate were so open. Nice that the structure comes through here. One of the finer values in Oregon Pinot Noir again.

Taste: Medium bodied with medium/high acidity and good balanced tannins. The structure is showing the youth, but there are very pretty tones of florals, red fuits, and spice tones.
Overall: This was a gorgeous young pinot. It could use a couple of years to be at its best, but it's very attractive right now.

Could pass for a Chambolle. Lovely, lithe, and lifted.

Bright red cherry with under tones of red earth. Spices on the mid palate and a decent finish that lingers the red cherry.

Willamette Valley Wines presents: Pinot in the City (City Winery, Chicago, IL): Nose: This is very perfumed and feminine with good depth and classy tones of red florals, hi-toned red fruits, wild spices, and cherries.
