decent enough Chianti that's just starting to turn into the 1/2 half of its drinking window. I have 2 more of this vintage and won't hesitate to consume soon. Was wrong in my previous note on this wine about its longevity.

I'm going to comment on how this will age. It's a new world weight wine, and clean and a little clinical. Has a lot of dark fruit, but also lots of structure and plenty of wood. I think it will age well, or at least that age will do it well and that it won't die for a long time. I'm not opening another one of these until 2022 minimum.

PnVnD let air for 2hrs. Dark ruby purple dense but not saturated with a violet to clear rim. Pleasantly funky cherry porcini nose. Medium(-) with green tea and cherry skin tannin. Sour cherry rhubarb beets and sassafras with a touch of minerally mushrooms on a finish that is a bit short. Great with pizza.

Nice dark plum color and silky viscosity as it coats the glass. Great aroma with flavors of earth and anise, soft acidity. I like it - we had it with a Tuscan chard, tomato and bean soup and it was a great pairing

Medium clear ruby color. Aromas of dried cherry, coffee cream, fennel, oak, and hints of sulfur. Dry, medium body and tannins, and moderate flavors of cranberry, wood, bitter chocolate, and tannin. Quite rustic.

deep dark berries and mint on the nose, dark fruited, bright acidity, rustic, gravel nuances on the finish, simple but stitched together with Tuscan character, great with pizza

Big, rich, ripe sangiovese that is starting to round out nicely for drinking. Great bold fruit at this stage in its life. Lovely wine with some air.

A pleasant week day Chianti to enjoy with pasta and red sauce. Not as good as some other Chianti's in same price range or lower.

Not terrible, but didn't have much typical Sangiovese character.
