Decanted. Now 1.5h after decant. Pale gold color. Somewhat shy aromas of petrol, just ripe apples, lemon, minerals and a touch of herbs. Palate w just ripe apples, a bit of petrol, summer minerals and herbs. Decent concentration of flavors. Nice acids. Nice moderately long finish. Better than the last bottle. Nice complexity on the nose that doesn't quite pan out on the palate. Better than the last bottle but was hoping for more.

PnP slightly chilled. Clear, light straw color. Typical Riesling nose. Althoughvery aged, this bottled showed better than expected. Although the acidity lacked a bit, did not drink flat or tired. Slightly sweet, ideal balance, still good fruit with just a touch of tartness. Smooth, clean, med finish. Drink now, nothing off. $32

PnP. Straw color with clear edge in color. Nose of petrol, white flowers, apricot, honeysuckle and flinty minerality. On the palate: nice meyer lemon & honeysuckle on the front moving to a soft mid-palate and then popping strong apricot on the back of the palate. Medium length finish of dried apricot, minerality and salinity. Very enjoyable...lost points for low acid / intensity...but great wine if you are OK with that (could be a plus for some folks).

Tart apples and white flowers. Good acidity. In retrospect, a bit of Sweet Tarts character. Paired first with whitefish on chips, which was better thaan expected, then with Andouille sausage, which overwhelmed it a bit (could have used a Spa•tlese)

Did not take proper notes. As called out by others, its a bit soft (lacking acid structure) for Riesling, but its expressing very enjoyable tertiary notes due to age (petrol).

double decanted and consumed two hours later. straw yellow in color with some nice white flower aromatics along with a whiff of petrol. ripe apple, stone fruit, a hint of lemon/lime on the palate. this wine was drinking wonderfully after 24 years in the bottle. what good mosel riesling is all about. paired nicely with smoked salmon on toast

Decanted for 1.5h in wine fridge then back into the bottle. Note is 2.5h after opening. Shy aromas of nice petrol, tart apples, minerals, and some spice. Palate is more open with tart apples, petrol, some spices, and minerals. Hollow, dilute midpalate which is pretty stark. Light-medium body with excellent acids and some minerals. Short finish. An hour later, there is better concentration on the palate but still with hollow midpalate. It's a good drink but I was hoping for some more complexity, given its age, and a better midpalate, but just wasn't happening this night.

An amazingly fresh and pure riesling after only a mere 24 years from the vintage date. Still singing. Apple, stone fruit and an earthy, granite and savory quality. What was really beautiful about this wine was the color and hue of the liquid sitting in the glass - a really pretty and vivid yellow with that tinge of green that signals quality grapes that were treated really well from vineyard to glass.

Ramps and Riesling Fest (Washington, DC): Nose of glazed peaches, honey. Lovely acidity, nice balance with the sugar. Smooth, rich but sports a lot mineral depth, white tea and flinty, stony vibes. Still so fresh and spritely.

Offered by the glass at Cree Wine Company, Perryville NJ. Couldn't resist it, as they also had local asparagus prepared as a salad on the menu. Just a delightful pairing! Wine has held up incredibly well.

Really light in colour for a 23+ year old wine, green apple, lime and lemons on the nose, palate has a bright even though a little austere feel, lots more lemon and lime notes coming through medium plus acidity and medium lengths
