In a good place. Had it with salmon. Opened with notes of dill and fresh herbs, like thyme. Acid noticeable but not objectionable. Tart cherry? Drink up. At peak?

A hard, tight wine with little pleasure from a tough vintage. Some slight sediment. 13% alc. Not certain of the date, but pulled the week of June 8, 2020. Food uncertain, but probably salmon. Not Recommended.

Decanted for 3 hours and chilled slightly. Nose of pepper, musk, and cherry. Showed of terroir of well balanced pinot on the palate. Flavors of forest floor, cherry, soft tannins, and light acidity. Finish lingered and left me wanting more. I wish we had more of this wine!

Perfect bottle for a thanksgiving styled turkey dinner. Floral and expressive red fruited nose. Palate was fine and vibrant, tart cherry and a touch of cranberry along with a hint of baking spices, with the fruit leaning toward blue after extended air. Length stony finish. Could use some time but approachable with some air. Medium complexity. Goes great with food given the acidity on the palate.

Pinot Weekend - Second Willamette Valley Trip; 8/30/2013-9/2/2013 (Dundee, OR): Saline and blackberry nose--again a little shy and tight. Palate leaned towards a daker styled fruit, quite narrow on the palate with prominent acidity. Spicy vibrant through the finish. Another bottle enjoyed through the weekend stayed fresh and vibrant over several days. Coiled up, needs 3-5yrs at least. 91+

This is certainly in the style of '11 in that it is a bit higher in acid and needs some time to lie down. The WV bottling is actually drinking much better right now. I'd hold this. It's lighter in style and could prove to be elegant and complex.

The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Medium/Fast and the body is Light/Medium. The wine has Satin-like texture and finishes a bit Short. It's a nice wine served a little cold now and should be better in a few years.

Pop n pour at cool room temp. Already compared to their entry level Willamette pinot, the Perspective has a riper, darker fruit aroma profile. Dark bing cherries with a dash of stone and earthiness in the background. In the mouth, there is fine acidic structure, and some fleshiness in the mid-palate (missing a bit in the Willamette), and long, juicy finish with some citrus peel. Suave. Tannins are dry, but light. The wine reminds me a bit of their Pioneer bottling. Again Ayres has priced this right, being a fine value at $32 MSRP.

Yes a tough vintage. The wine was good the first night. A day later not so much.

Tart and unyielding upon opening; after 90 minutes of aeration, drinks like a villages-level Burgundy. Delicate, acidic, not much fruit.

Enjoyed with Vadim & Steph, with Persian food and two other Oregon Pinot Noirs. The Shea Wine Cellars 2011 Homer Vyd was also great!

Black cherry and Pinot funk with a nice cut to the palate. Doesn't have a lot of depth currently. Probably has some upside.

Not quite as deep as prior bottles and throwing lots of sediment (tartrates?) Had to filter though a paper towel, but then it showed fine.

Relatively dark fruit for the vintage, though nicely brambly, and with tangy and salty acidity.
