  • An extreme bargain at 6 euros in Lidl stores. At a lovely place now. It may never have been a great wine but at this point all its minor failings and major strengths have aligned to make this wine a complex, typical, exciting and classy Bdx. Great balance and lots of details. Love it.

  • Tasted blind.
Burnt aroma & flavors with considerable tannins. Decanting is recommended as it had some sediments in it, and aeration definitely helped in the evaporation of some unpleasant flavors.

  • Nose: plum, blackberry, cedar, licorice, oak spices, leather, very nice
Taste: medium to full bodied, medium acidity, medium+ tannins, black cherry, plum, spices, smoke, could be a great wine but fruit is fading or it has never had enough concentration

  • The wine is clear and bright with a medium garnet colour and presence of legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of dark plums, tomato, liquorice, cedar and walnuts. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has high slightly coarse tannins and medium+ alcohol. It has a medium+ body and medium intensity flavours of dark plums, tomato, liquorice and cedar. The finish is medium.

It is a good quality wine with a nice tannic structure and a good enough fruit concentration and finish, but not enough to be a very good wine, some more concentration would balance better the alcohol and tannins. It could be more complex too. Can drink now, but it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop a bit more of complexity in the next 2-3 years.
