Great nose, sweet blackberry. The issue is the heavy alcohol on the palette. One the second day it subsided but so did the nose. I have one more in the cellar. May use it for cooking.

Well, I will save my words and refer you to "NineteenEightyTwo" and his notes. I would agree completely. This is a full bodied experience that needs a little decanting and served a touch cool with food to be enjoyed to it's fullest. Will clearly last and maybe improve over next 3+ yrs. In CAN - is 22$ and a good buy.

Bright berries and warm oak smells fill the nose. Deeper sniffing draws out a pronounced stony aroma, but also a somewhat green and twiggy note. The palate is smooth, with rich, ripe blackberry flavors and a hint of pepper and nutmeg. In total this is interesting enough and drinks pleasantly; at a low-teens price point it represents compelling value and would be a good option for larger parties. Drinking well now, no need to wait.
Lafite Around the World (Esquin (Seattle, WA)): Ripe blueberries -- big, powerful fruit. Full bodied, juicy, and overflowing with fruit. Finishes with fine tannins, acid, and length, though the acid seems a bit out of balance.

Weekly tasting group #069; A fully blind test. (@ WW): Dark purple red. Lactic cherry yoghurt bouquet with a touch of sweetness. On the palate fairly concentrated fruit juice with cherries and red berry fruits. Extremely soft tannin, a firm amount of sweetness and some bitterness in the finish. Not a bad wine, but no complexity at all.

Soft combination of berries and oaky vanilla with a smooth mouthfeel. Tannins are rounded out. Decent bottle for $12 but not earth shattering.
