I’ve been fortunate to drink many vintages of this bottling and I think it’s one of the best Bourgogne’s out there. The vintage is not working in this bottle’s favor. It good, true and pure but seems a bit hollow and has outsized acidity. Time open helps bring things together but it never really integrates. While the best vintages are pure, plush, juicy and fun, this bottle is just a bit too rough. Good but no more. (86)

One of the better Bourgogne’s I have ever tasted. Is it worth $50? Pure, Pinot fruit is front and center, with a voluptuous mouthfeel. Delicious. This easy drinking real burgundy. Now, if it only went for $25 in significant quantities. One can dream, no? (88)

This bottle was on fire from the moment the cork was pulled. Great nose. Deep and dark Pinot fruit on the palate. Serious and complex. I can't keep my hands off it and enjoyed every last drop.

Nice pinot fruit with a bit of sweet tart like acidity. Nice spice and appropriately ripe fruit with decent depth and mid weight structure. Enjoyable and holds up in the bottle for two days. A bit narrow on the palate the first night, but rounds out on days two and three with decent depth, and while reasonably balanced it lacks presence: not altogether unreasonable for an AOC Bourgogne. Good probably very good, but maybe not the value (at least as US prices) that I usually get from this producer. Enjoyable if not terribly memorable. 88 pts.

Wow, nothing wrong with this 2011 right here. Once again the sisters have produced a beautiful Bourgogne. This elevates the genre once again with perfume, weight, texture and the finish. Hard to find but pure pleasure. Has the stuffing to age for a couple years. No green, that whole notion is a bunch of BS. This is right there with the excellent 2010 MG Bourgogne.

Nice bottle tonight. This is less cranky now. Well integrated with no sign of greenness or real bitterness. There is a great finish now. Sexy fruit. Much better now.

Dense. No green notes. This wine doesn't have the balance of the usual Bourgogne from MG. There is a note of bitterness and a finishing astringency. It is good for what it is but not on the mark for the usual from this domaine IMHO.

My first taste from Georges Mugneret-Gibourg, and this Bourgogne rouge is really well-made, decent amount of complexity and concentration. 93pts

Light footed and delicious. Singing fruit and just enough complexity to keep things interesting.

Delicious, rich, deep, red fruit. Not the most energetic vintage chez M-G; more exotic and debaucherous.

Another delicious bottle of the sisters' Bourgogne rouge. Great nose and the palate has a nice mix of funk, fruit and minerals.
