Very impressed with this wine. Peppery Shiraz with solid fruit and pleasant tartness. Sour cherry was my first impression. The wine evolved and smoothed out after a short decant. I don't think there is any rush to drink this wine but I plan to consume my remaining bottles over the next 12 to 24 months.

Decantered for two hours before drinking over a few hours. This is an excellent Aussie Shiraz and the blend adds complexity. Tastes more old world Southern Rhone. Great fruit combined with excellent backbone of smooth tannins and oak. This is the type of wine that gave Australia such a great name

Garnet with a lighter edge at the rim. LOts of fruit, mostly dark sherry compote. There is a slight musty, oaky nose that actually adds character to the wine and is not a distraction. The wine is well integrated and has smooth round tannins. Higher alcohol but not overly hot. I liked the wine much better the second day which would hint for a few hour decant if one were to drink in one night. A solid showing but not outstanding. Above average.

Excellent barossa shiraz with good blending varietals to soften. Smooth tones with great nose of Shiraz, fully integrated and ready to drink- should be good for may years

Was still holding up pretty well but definitely past it’s best. Won at Auction so not sure how it’s been cellared

Much leaner than the last bottle. This bottle was clearly past its prime. Underlying shiraz pepper notes but fading out. Drink up.
