Reading previous reviews I was wondering what we were in for. My wife and I were both floored by this wine. It was Perfectly cellared at 53 degrees since release. I believe we opened it at the perfect time. Silky smooth tannins, fruit is still there, pie cherry and tart blueberry all balanced by a nice acidity, I can’t imagine this wine showing any better. It was such a joy to drink we drank the whole bottle. After each drinking a glass we paired it with Wagyu Ribeye and Chimichuri. Wonderful. If you have any of this left I would suggest drinking now. I believe it is only going to go downhill from here.

My final bottle. Opened on the chance it would suite even a simple Tuesday night dinner. Nope. Not good. Cooked fruit. Raisins. Sour. Quite dead really.

Loren Sonkin's review below nails this one. Drinkable, but probably my least favorite Sineann wine. Slightly better on day 2, as it finished with a harsh scour on day 1. Could improve with time, but I wouldn't bet on it. Just not a good year.

Sineann Block One Cab (02 -12) plus some others (My Home): No Block One was made in 2011 so all the fruit went into this wine. It was easily the last place wine for myself and the group. That said, it did get one first place vote which I understand as it was very distinct from the others. Purple in color, ruby at the rim. The nose is dusty with light cherries. On the palate, this is ok. Medium bodied. Cherries, slight dusty note. A bit flat. Drinkable but not much more. I am not sure where this goes from here, but at this point, there is not much harm in waiting I guess.

Hate to say this because I love most of Peter's wines, but this one was sub-par. Minerally, salty, thin, really not very good. I'll stay with his delicious pinots and others.

Not good at all. Sharp. Sour. Harsh. No fruit really. Guessing it was better a few years ago, but likely not much better.

Big disappointment. Guess I'll hope this comes together over the next few years. Not great now. Harsh in nearly every way.
