Last tried this wine 5 years ago and found it to be tannic the first day but got better on the second. This bottle was very good. The tannins have fallen away and it tastes fresh and rich. A great time to open this wine on its 10th anniversary.

This has evolved into a splendid wine. Ready on the open with beautiful fruit and stayed about the same for the hour the bottle was open. Need more of this and fortunately have one bottle left in the cellar. Only thing holding it back is a somewhat short finish but a great effort.

Pop and poured, and this baby was singing from the get go. Drank after dinner over a game of cards with friends, and way exceeded expectations. Excellent and I hope to find more.

Nose is blue/black fruit dominant with a good amount of oak finishing it off. Very young still, mouth coating tannins, although drinkable, dark red and blue fruits coat the palate with tea, refreshing palate, cassis, red currants, a little pomegranate on the finish. Very nice wine, needs another 2-3 years in bottle to really start singing. at 70 it's too pricey, but if it were 45-50 it would be worth it.

Quite tannic on the first day even after a 2 hour decant. Second day much better with deep rich flavors of blue and black fruit, spice, and perhaps leather. I have another bottle and going to try to hold off opening for at least a couple more years.

Inky, purple color. Explosive nose of ripe blackberry, dark cherry, licorice, and caramel. The palate is a hedonistic ball of ripe fruit with a healthy dollop of caramel. Structurally, this is full-bodied and plush with rounded tannins and low acidity. The finish is long and fruit packed. Overall, I liked the hedonistic fruit and plush mouthfeel, but I liked the Freemark Abbey Sycamore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon better because it showed some old school herbaceousness that was not in the St. Supery.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like oak and bark. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Great silky milk chocolate texture, at first there was tons of oak as I've come to expect (and dislike) with this producer, but with 2-3 hours of air it integrated well in the fruit and became very very well balanced. This is a very nice wine.

silky chocolate notes with mid palate of dark fruit, cassis, with solid finish. This is ready now.
