A better bottle this time compared to 6 years ago. Wonderful tertiary character now with dried mushroom, leather and subdued dark cherry. Complete resolved tannin and gentle supporting acidity. Did start to fade towards end of evening. Drink now but can hold for a little longer.

3 + hr decant. Darker fruited wine, has enough tannins left to allow for extended cellaring, savage notes of burly fruit. Ripe and full flavored, oak fairly well resolved.

Another delicious bottle that did take some coaxing for that lovely nose of black fruits, spice, dark chocolate and earth to come up. Beautiful palate with plenty of grip and length but also a lovely line of flavour. Pure with oak well integrated.

Classic Vosne Romanee. Dark cherry red. Enticing nose of black fruit, dark chocolate, earth and spice. Palate shows intense fruit with great spiciest and line. Soft but elegant finish that sat very well food. An excellent Beaux Monts.

Deep colour with softening at edges. Beautiful nose of spices, black and red fruits, touches of violet and chocolate. Very pretty as it opened. Palate medium weight with some mid palate density that adds mouthfeel and texture. Good length and fine finish with that Beaux Monts austerity. Very good drinking now.

Slightly cloudy, bricking, dark garnet nose; sous bois, green herb, leather, tart cherry nose; tasty, sous bois, mineral, tart cherry, cranberry palate; still a little awkward, needs 2-3 years; medium-plus finish

Aroma is less expressive than the 98 we had several weeks ago. In the mouth, more fruit and acidity. After another hour, the bouquet became more forward. Quite elegant overall but by then there was just a couple drops left in the bottle.

my second bottle; allowed 2 hours of bottle-decant before re-cork it; expressive strawberries and sour cherries aroma; tar, slight coco, a little rust, and slight spicy; not high and interesting acidity; a smooth, comfortable and VFM VR

Still youthful but with secondary notes, slight earthiness, nose a little spicy, dark red in color, ripe fruit but not over the top, medium plus body and decent length with good persistence over the whole evening.

drink upon open; turned out it should be bottle breath for at least 2-3 hours; young ruby red; muted nose initially, turned into an elegant VR nose; unfiltered style; red fruit dominated with touch of coffee/tar/choco; good acidity; I'll cellar my another bottle for a little longer

A very good example of the best of the Dominique Laurent style from this period. Plenty of time in hand but beginning to drink well.

Remarkably consistent experience with previous bottles. The spice and black fruits make this wine very attractive. Holding well.
