  • Gorgeous blend of red and dark fruits with a darker color and sumptuosness on the nose and palate. Red fruits evolve into darker with a spice hint of mushroom and fragrant red soil. Very refined and elegant with balanced acids and tannins that carries the fruit to center stage especially on the mid palate. Went exceptionally well with roasted duck dish served with capers and huckleberries at Merriweathers. Also enjoyed a 2005 Drouhin Gevrey-Chambertin and the Vouette et Sorbee Saignee bubbly that went well with the oysters but would have played a nice duet with a filet. Great evening!
