  • Very nice salmon pink color. Wanted some more on the nose, but more herbal than fruits. More of freshly cut red peppers & maybe juniper. On palate, definately crisp tart apple, so tart that makes tongue bite by citrusness. Medium long finish, pretty good with fresh cut sushi.

  • The wine is a pink to salmon color. The fresh and inviting nose has strawberry, cherry, minerals, apples, a touch of orange zest, and a slight herbal note. This has light body, crisp acidity, and a touch of sweetness. The palate has tart red fruit, apples, and a distinct streak of minerality. The finish has nice length with a nice herbal element coming into the picture before some mouthwatering citrus closes the show.

  • This is a nice summer drinker although I've become spoiled by some of the more minerally French Rose that I've been drinking at the same price point. For me this does the job of the quenching rose, however while good all around, no particular part of it stands out except maybe for the finish. It's almost too smooth if that makes sense. I'm glad that Villa Creek is making the wine as California needs more examples of this at a reasonable price. i would certainly continue to buy the wine as I love what Villa Creek is doing all around.
