Bordeaux Marts 2016 What's to say ... This is huge and massive, it is a wine which need another 2-5 years at least to come around, it have a massive core of acidity/lime/ Yuzo/ seems less fat than the 07/08 but I guess it is due to the structure, the nose is popcorn and new year evening .... . . If you open a bottle please decant at least 3-6 hours before or just open the bottle the day before ... it might be the best Aligote ever !!!! Drink 2018-2025

Scoring the d'Auvenay Aligoté is an especially otiose endeavor, as there is really nothing like it. At this stage, decanting is essential, as the wine is buttoned up by reduction and needs a few hours to open up. But when it does, the aromatics of red apple, ripe lemons, honeysuckle and white flowers really pop. On the palate the wine is large-scaled and almost phenolic in its intensity. Serious stuff.

As previus bottle, just stunning, this was even slightly more closed on the nose, needs another 2-3 years and last another 10 ....

739 bottles produced in 2010. Amazing minerality & power. A Grand Cru for sure & huge cellaring potential. A masterpiece
