This was listen in my CT list as overdue! This and a companion bottle had been in my cellar for about 9 years so I thought that the wine would be flat! To my surprise it was spectacular! I am only sorry that I have only one left! No sediment, visible legs and great depth of bold red fruit still in the forefront!

This time I found it too aggressive and a sort of fruit bomb that did not match the food to my liking. Cant deny the quality, it is just you get tired from these kind of wines...

Dark. Rich chocolate on the nose, along with plumeria, chili pepper, and nutmeg. Spicy entrance, tasty, chocolate palate, unripe plums, fresh Serrano peppers and chocolate-covered espresso beans soar throughout. New World style.

Nice full bouquet with a hint of oak. Medium body wine, fairly dry. Good for pairing with strong cheese and pastas. Not as good as what I normally expect from a Marques de Casa Concha wine.

We have a monster of carmenere here, double macerated the wine has an unusual (for the variety) tannin structure, solidly backed by a small amount of cab sauv (less than 10%), the body is med to full. The "new world" massive fruit is clean and focused both on the nose and in the mouth. There is a delicious factor that makes the wine like-able. It will easily handle various spicy pasta dishes and roasted meats, I see it as a food friendly wine.

Soft, appealing for its chocolate and dark berry flavors. Great with food, but a bit one dimensional.
