This was a tasty Bordeaux. Earthy leafy notes on the nose. Plenty of plum, gravel, a bit of mineral, tobacco on the palate. Sufficient acidity and some fine tannins. Long finish. This is in a good spot for the moment and very enjoyable.

This was a nice bottle opened up nicely after 2-3 hours and may have been better yet the following evening. Plenty of fruit. Nice freshness. Not overly complex, but rather enjoyable

Fourth bottle from a full case purchased at auction in 2015. Pristine, perfect level and cork. Decanted for two hours. At ten years of age, this is really singing. Still youthful but with a well developed aroma and flavour profile (cherries, berries, milk chocolate, truffle, oak spice), fresh and well balanced palate, good volume based on its alcoholic weight (14.5% ABV), gentle but firm grip from sandy tannins, very good resonance and length. A very lovely Pomerol, tempted to add another point, but at the end of the day I feel that it doesn't have the gravitas, the posture for that. Good value in the Pomerol context, drink now - 2032.

Soft Tannins are fully integrated, Bright red fruit, Earth, hints of wood throughout, vanilla notes, and I get bell pepper. Medium to long finish. Well done!

Bordeaux 2012 (By SS in the Ertepeller.): Dark berries and cherries and soft spiciness in the bouquet. Same on the palate, chocolate and some bell pepper. Beautiful acidity and length. Still quite youthful.

Beautiful bouquet with creamy red and dark berry fruits and beautiful oak and cedar. On the palate firm dark and red berries. Round acidity and tannin. Still quite youthful. Really beautiful wine with still a good future. Needs more years to show its real finesse. Great wine!! 93+

Medium red with just a touch of bricking on the edges. Attractive bell pepper mixed with enough oak in the nose to provide some sweetness. Flavors are relatively soft and sophisticated but with enough acidity to provide perhaps another decade of life if stored properly. I suspect the bell pepper comes from the 10% cabernet franc in the blend. Not powerful but very classy!

Complex bouquet with beautiful oak and cedar and ripe dark berries. On the palate ripe red and dark berries, sweet spices, licorice, some bell pepper, beautiful acidity and tannin with a firm bite. The wine will improve with more ageing. Next try in 2026, but 2030 would not be a problem either. 93+

After a 2 hr decant, powerful fruit forward. High alcohol content and suggest a 2-3 hr decant, and possible use a aerator to bring this into a perfect balance. Smooth and long enjoyable finish. For the price its a buy again wine for daily drinking.

Un beau Pomerol, sur la finesse et le rafinement. Surtout des fruits rouges, champignons et chocolat. C'est frais, soyeux avec des tannins fins et une finale assez longue ou rien n'accroche. Très bon en ce moment,

Elegant rather than powerful in spite of 14.5% ABV, light tannins, good fruit, hints of earth and truffle, fresh and classical, developing a nice Pomerol typicity. Early maturity, starting to drink well.

I really liked this one. More powerful than expected from some of the other notes here. At a great stage of development for my taste, lots of fruit and acidity still, combined with the secondary smokiness. Drank next to a La Mission Haut BRion 1990(!) and I actually preferred this one.

Decanted for two hours. Compared with my last tasting note from 22 months ago, this is developing at a slow pace. I like the Pomerol typicity in this medium bodied wine, and the white truffle notes on the nose are joined by some milk chocolate flavours on the palate. In spite of its considerable alcoholic weight (14.5% ABV), it is not a big or concentrated wine, with light tannins, and there is a citrussy freshness on the relatively tight but not drying finish. It continues to drink well, but I will give this a rest until 2020. It needs a few years now to reach early maturity. But it won’t last forever. I am focusing on a drinking window from 2020-2027.

Gave this 2012 a 3h decant, could've used more. Packed with sweet dark berries, chocolate and a touch of mint. Just a wee bit of green pepper too, showing the 10% cab franc in the blend. Tight and even a bit strict for now but suave tannin. Wait till 2022 for the next one

Small vertical 2009-2012. Good ripeness of fruit, a little oak influence on the nose as well, slightly herbal and spicy. On the palate round and polished, lacking a bit of depth compared to 2009 and 2010, but very balanced, fresh and quite long. Ripe, rounded tannins. 90-91+

Decanted for two hours. Immediately attractive straight from the bottle, but opens up very well with some oxygen. Lovely nose, open for business, with black cherries, plums and white truffle, violets, good depth, glossy but with a hint of earth and a nice touch of warmth from the oak; the palate is elegant and balanced rather than concentrated, with delicious juicy fruit, fresh and lively, with finely grained tannins, slightly tight but not drying; complete finish, very good length. A charming and stylish Pomerol, for the medium term, should develop well over the next 7-10 years.

Already showing a hint of truffle on top of the sweet, ripe, juicy black cherries and plums, the wine is soft, round and fresh, with a sweet hint of chocolate with the red fruits in the finish.

Floral, earth and fresh black raspberry scents open to a polished, soft and silky wine with an earthy, sweet, chocolate-covered cherry personality. This is a very high quality Pomerol that is available for a fair price, It’s well worth looking into. 92-94 Pts
