Deep, dark extracted fruit. The nose on this one is initially black licorice, a hint of truffle, dark fruit and chocolate. As this wine opened up, it started to develop a LOT of dark, deep blackberry and mulberry. The middle of this wine is dark, deep, black cherry notes start to develop but also an herb note. This is a thick and dense wine. Finishes still with quite a bit of stiff tannin and some acidity. I think that this wine is still developing in bottle, and if you've got one of these, please rest assured that it is just now starting to get to peak, but probably won't be there with a 2-hour decant until closer to 2020. This basically means that my 2012 and 2013 needs to hang out for about 5-6 years before they are anywhere close to ready. Nice wine.

If you must, then needs a 4 hour decant. And if you do, it will be singing. Nose, palate and finish. It's all there. Don't do it without decant. Not ready without. Damn good stuff with decant or time.

This Cab. exudes a beautiful aroma and great fruit flavors. Dark berries and chocolate. Its Starts a little tight but opens up fast and has a 45 second finish. Day 2 is just as good and continues to evolve. A great $45. wine.

P&P and then followed during the course of the evening. The first sniff and sip were tight but the wine quickly transformed into a mix of lovely dark fruits dominated by strong cassis. My wife, the alcohol police, felt that the 15.3 ABV was in balance. Early cedar and camphor evolved into smooth black licorice and a long, smooth finish. This is delicious already but should be dynamite in five years.

nose - dark cherry, hint of Mint per doug, licorice per David, mouth - elegant ripe dark cherry with very fine tannins providing nice structure. could use a little time to settle down. very attractive Napa cab.

Dark black color. Black currant nose with some plum, spices and little too much alcohol. Nose is similar to many 20-30$ big name cabs (like simi). Palate is not what I expected from nose. Very thin dark fruit flavors on attack that quickly disappear into an almost nonexistent mid palate then gives way to a plum and black currant (almost jammy) long finish. This wine is very young and should be better over time but not sure how much potential it has. enjoyable bottle with food but for 60+$ you can find something from a more established winery that will deliver much more than this does.

Stunning wine just hitting it’s stride. Perfect balance between fruit and secondary elements.

Smoky and licorice makes this one a little odd. Good mouthfeel and finish. Happy to drink but I think there are better bottles at this price point

This wine seems like it is still coming together. Recommend cella ring for another 2+ years.
