moderate gold. pineapple, guava, and granite nose. rich, almost buttery. moderately acidic and medium bodied. interesting balance of salty, sweet, and hot. flavors certainly tropical, cooked pineapple, overripe peach, sour apple, a bit of pepper, and more stone. finishes long. drink now.

Great drinking white wine. Beautiful nose of subtle citrus, peach and stone aromas. The acidity was refreshing and I'd disagree with the characterization that the fruit is almost gone. Still a nice bit of fruity flavor left.
Overall great wine for sipping on its own, no need for food. Will go great with food as well.
Still have three bottles left- I'll gladly drink them over the next few years.

Had another bottle during New Year's Eve dinner, the additional months in the bottle have been good. Very balanced and pleasant to drink (despite the high alcohol level), both with food or alone. Nuts, a bit of honey and sweet fruits.

Fruit is almost gone, there's a subtle sweetness now battling a salty minerality. Some may find the alcohol too dominant, I think it's still ok.

Outstanding. Balanced with enough acid that it went well with roasted tomato soup and pork loin.

Wachau Spring Wine Festival (Wachauer Weinfrühling) (The Wachau): A bit muted on the nose, but a hint of pears and white peaches; jammy and a bit oily on the concentrated palate, but nice. € 23. ***
