Very one-dimensional, but incredibly drinkable and just a flat-out awesome QPR from Kermit Lynch. Good acidity, firm frame, and mouth-watering juiciness from start to finish. Mixed notes of red fruit, red blood, candied raspberries, garrigue, mint, and thyme, along with tons more savory herbs. Drink now and drink quick!

Really fantastic wine for the price. This consists of of syrah, grenache, and mouvedre, but if I didn't know better I would think this was a pure syrah from the northern rhone. Expressive nose, elements of lavender and herbs. Nice flavor on the palate with more of herbs, purple fruits (whatever that means) and a bit of meatiness. A touch of grainy tannins, a food wine to be sure. Would absolutely buy again.

Earthy and fruity with smooth integrated oak and some cola. Right between a pinot and a Syrah. Easy pleaser with enough structure and integrity to appease the more discerning crowd. Excellent qpr

Bargain! Expressive black fruits on the nose, same on the medium to full bodied palate. Not a great structure or complexity but smooth, forward and very easy to drink now. +++(+)

13.5% alc...deep fresh blackberries on the nose, spice, game, garrigue, streak of green, stemmy...on the palate, bright crazy acidity - like a tank sample, primary at first, black fruit, juicy, on the leaner side of medium, earthy, few tannins - possibly dusty at best...not something I want to see age. Enjoy for the youthful exuberance. Drink now. Decant first, best showing was about an hour after being opened. Too much verve prior.

Rich red and black berries on the nose. Rich, medium-plus bodied wine with a silky mouthfeel. Fine-grained tannin, medium acid. Some heat comes through on the palate, along with red berries and plum. Simple, intentionally smooth and easy drinking. In fact, it pulls off the easy-drinking-but-purportedly-serious thing quite well, with the structure evident but also completely inoffensive. Fairly short finish. Drink now.

This was a really nice wine. Juicy, ripe blackberry fruit, somewhat floral/perfumed, good acidity. Very easy to pair with food. Just enough "garigue" (thyme, rosemary, lavender) to make it interesting, not so much that you spend half the night with your nose in the glass.

Really liked this wine, full of great regional character. Very food friendly, with a bright refreshing palate which makes a nice change of pace from the 2010 and 2009 Cotes du Rhone which can be a bit hefty and on the extracted side. There's nice acidity and enough structure to hold the grenache driven berry fruit and meaty syrah together. $14.99 at the wine house.

WB Tasting (WB office): Nice fresh and every elegant nose. Quite a lot going on: strawberry, dark raspberry and blood orange. Earthy notes. Juicy. Really good.

This is sort of a Languedoc version of a CNP, with less Grenache flavor. Quite lovely actually. Light, aromatic, delicious fruit, and smooth. For the price this is one heck of a nice wine that goes with just about anything.

Good wine...a little flat; straight forward, aromas and flavors of red berries.

Blend of Syrah (primary) with some Grenache and Mourvedre from the Languedoc.
Planted on slopes in limestone soils.
Deep color.
Fragrant nose of blackberry, herbs, with the Grenache red fruit peeking through.
Layered flavors of black and red fruit, olive. Good structure, not a light wine by any means,
but not overpowering or brooding, or extracted.
Would pair well with many winter dishes and roasts.
An excellent value from Kermit Lynch.
