Opaque. Nose: moderately strong but brooding nose. Cedar, Douglas Fir. Raspberries, cranberries and cherries. Slight tobacco. Iodine and sea water. Thyme. Palate: Medium bodied, high acidity. Moderate sweetness. Well integrated chewy tannin (not overwhelming after a 2 hour decant). Expertly balanced structure. Iodine and saline. Blackberries, cherries and dark plums. Touch of espresso and cocoa. Blood orange. Rose water, black pepper. Finish: everything stays strong as a nice sweet smokiness emerges. Overall a fantastic bottle from a less than stellar vintage. This is exactly what I hope for when I open a cabernet sauvignon from Washington. Drinking well now, this has another solid 2 years of prime drinking. Really benefits from a 2 hour decant right now.

Short (30 min) air time. Very straightforward Cab & I mean that in all the best ways. Black currant/plum nose & palate. Silky texture, approachable tannin/structure. Heavy handed on the oak, but otherwise very nice.

A friend and I tasted this at the Woodinville tasting room on 8/29/14. It had a rich, deep and layered bouquet of black currant, blackberry, cocoa and spice aromas. The palate was deep, layered tart and dry with flavors of black currant, blackberry, plum, cocoa and spice. 90+

All about bramble fruit and acidity.
Tannins now moderated, barely registering as cab, balance distinctly 2011, fruit is everywhere but no way a fruit bomb

Deep intense hue. Pencil lead softened by black fruit on nose
Tannins underpin fairly complex layers of fruit with hints of spice on finish
