Excellent example of the Russian River PN. Lovely colour and rich nose with and some tertiary notes. The taste doesn’t quite follow through. V good but previous examples were even better

Have enjoyed Walter Hansel Pinot's over several vintages. Such great QPR. Much better on Day 2. Velvety smooth, perfect balance of tart red fruit, spice and nice earthiness on the nose. Winner!

Really lovely RRV Pinot. Needed about 45 minutes of decant, then really showed as a robust, complex wine. Flavors of cherry, cola, red fruit... very nice. Last glass was best, so maybe even more time to breathe? Unfortunately it's my last bottle.

Lovely pure Cali Pinot - nicely balanced. I planned on one glass but couldn't resist two. Super value. But... I left the remaining wine in the decanter overnight. When I tried it the fruit had entirely disappeared - don't make that mistake!

Delicious...has it all. Color, aromas, taste and even aftertaste as a great Burgundian wine would have, but, the mineral taste, which I don't like anyway. Cheers

Interesting wine; tasted with 3 other PN's at WL. TAsted this last. It was delicate with light fruit and some complexity; However compared to the 2010 Alta Maria PN it did not show well; WS review of 88 is closer to the mark than the WA 92 score; Not a good value as much better PN's for the price which is about $38.

Just popped and poured. Light red pinot with aromas of cherries and leather. Young and slightly sparking at the first sip. Spicy and herbs also present. Let us see how it evolves.

Bright cherry flavors at first make this seem like a typical Sonoma Pinot. Medium acidity/body and enough alcohol to just give a hint of a burn. After airing out a bit, it calms down to show more potential with a ripe spicy finish. Giving this one some time. Next in late 2015+.

Medium brick red color. Aromatic and young nose of plum skin, cherry syrup, flinty rocks, and rich minerality. Dry and full, with notes of cherry, acid, medium heat, bigger tannin, and flowers. Long finish, could use some in the cellar.

Incredible. Loved this Pinot (after decanting it for 3 hours) from the very first drop. Shared it with friends and we all voted it the "best" Pinot Noir. Yes, it will do even better if you cellar this fine wine, age will perfect this wine, but who could resist the temptation to drink this rare gem now?
We bought a case of this wine for the New Year (and plan to cellar it)! Cheers!

Slightly austere at first this openned quickly as it warmed. Medium dark color, spicy, cranberry, slightly bacon nose. In the mouth the tannin stucture and the acid balance was superb and the finish was even better.

Very light ruby color like Burgundy pinot. Aromas of herbs, raspberry . Decant before open. It is a young wine and it will improve with cellaring.
