Pale white gold. Nose of white rock, petrol, lychee, floral notes, smoky flint. Salty and slightly sweet tropical fruit on the palate evoking white peach, apricot, lychee again, and apple. Lovely acidity and underlying mineral structure. Moderately long finish of peach, grip, and schist. A hit with corned beef.

Pale yellow medium body wine. Very smooth blend of citrus with a touch of vanilla. Nice finish. Serve chilled for best taste. Excellent with cheese and white meat.

Very pale white gold color. Nose of oyster shell, white stone, petrol elements, lovely floral notes, and granny apple. On the palate exhibits transparent layers of white pear, apple core, and a bit of lychee overlying a bone dry spine of flint and mineral, laced with white pepper flakes and oily petrol. Impresses not with opulence but rather quiet purity. A particularly nice pairing with corned beef!

Pale light green color. Intense, wild and even a bit weird nose with lots of waxy character, some concentrated yellow stone fruits, a little bit of briny saline character and a hint of decomposing aromatic herbs. Contrasting the concentrated and almost sweet nose, the wine is strikingly light-bodied, crisp and mineral on the palate with racy acidity and a bit offbeat flavors of bitter wild herbs, mealy apple, some stomach acids, a little bit of old wood or slightly oxidative waxy character and a hint of white pepper. The finish is crisp, long and very mineral with flavors of wet stones, salt lick, some mealy red apple, a little bit of white pepper and a hint of something wild and funky.
A very odd and atypical Grüner Veltliner, but also a very interesting, elegant and tasty wine at the same time. Definitely not your typical, run-of-the-mill GrüVe, but if you like wines that are racy, mineral and more about non-fruit flavors than about ripeness and fruit, this is like the ultimate Federspiel. The drinkability and curiosity factors are here through the roof.

Citrus flavors on the palate, not too much depth here but enjoyable, particularly in the summertime.

Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2015-05; Austria: Grüner Veltliner (By MdW): In the bouquet flowers, yellow fruits, minerals, some smoke and hints of petrol. Same on the palate, so this is a harmonious wine. Aromatic, good acidity and length. Beautiful wine with some complexity.

Great buy for the money and in a very sweet spot right now. I do think the current CT ratings of 92 are a touch too generous.
Sight: Pale Lemon/Green
Nose: Radish, celery, lime pith
Palate: Pure and unctuous. Delicious gruneriness.

Sharp vibrant acidity and crisp mineral finish. Needs some time to smooth out a bit.
