This is a perennial favorite! Delicious, fine tuned, mouthwatering, fresh and with that hint of ocean waves rolling over your surf board as you paddle out into the vastness of time.

This is better stuff from Lustau. Much better. Greenish gold in the glass, the nose is dominated by Bergamott and all kinds of bitter citrus fruit, bitter almond, fresh yeast, esthers, and crushed rock licked by seawater. Full bodied on the palate, vigorous, only savoury flavours, no fruit, the wave of flavour is carried over effortlessy to a long, nutty, vibrant finish where the citrus overtones come back to haunt. Very, very nice--- a lot more nerve, vibe, poise, a different animal, a proposition far off the standard range chart from Lustau. Outstanding

So, the New Year's Blizzard hits Boston tonight, and I'm drinking . . . a fino de Jerez? A weird urge maybe, but certainly glad the mood hit me as this was a compelling, delicious sherry. There's little I can add to the wonderful notes below except perhaps to emphasize the delicacy and elegance that somehow coexists with the rounder, more emphatic fruit definition that seems to define this wine against its coastal counterparts from El Puerto and Sanlúcar de Barrameda. A great start to what I hope is a continuing series of releases by Lustau.

Aroma like candied orange peels, with honey, and hints of herbs and smoke; surprising, and inviting. Similar on the palate - delicious candied orange peel, toasted almond, and saline and herbaceous accents. Exuberant and easy to love; tons of character and freshness, thoroughly enjoyable.

Really nice expression of fino. Good weight and texture--richer than most fino but decidedly in the genre. Salty snap and a lot of complexity. Perfect with fried chicken.

Spring 2018 release
Fresh. Clean dry aromatics
Sandy, yeasty clean flavours, very, very long. Distilled essence of traditional fino

Wonderfully complex, full-bodied stuff, packed with flavor as if instilled with essential oils.

Quite nice. Lighter than expected with some floral, yeasty notes. Smooth on the palate which shows less character than the nose.

Great wine for seafood. Went specially well with fried oysters. Nice acidity with great reductive character.
