Jam, jam, jam, nothing but jam. I guess I liked it but it's not anywhere near as complex as I remember from when I first tasted this. Great value at $20, though.

This is an outstanding value wine. Deep, deep purple color, varietal syrah nose, same with flavors with a really silky mouth feel, full palate from start to finish. Great wine to buy every year.

This was just purely and outstanding wine. I tasted it because the 2013 has become available and I wanted to visit this wine before I purchased. Well, I purchased! This was a wonderful wine.

great regional blend! Full on fruit but this has tremendous zing/energy. Huge wine but well balanced and not heavy. Go ahead, take the Ferrari for a spin.

Much better on Day 2. I let it sit for 30 minutes after pouring but the wine really improved overnight. First day, very jammy, all fruit that was almost overpowering. The second day it was much more balance. The fruit was still their but it was balanced well with the wine.

Central Coast Syrah blind tasting: Very dark in color. Jammy on the nose, showing notes of sweet cherry, spice, dill and anise. Overripe blue fruit on the palate, with an odd accent of bitter anise and medicinal herb, along with sweet spice. Low acid, big tannin, and full on the finish.

Sweet and jammy with ripe dark fruit, primary, not much on complexity. Alcohol too noticeable. I consider this wine sweet, just like the '12 Colson Canyon offering.

Tasted at Tensley. Nose of red and dark berries, some pepper and some olive. On the palate similar flavors. Medium body and medium-low acidity with medium- tannin. Medium length. The alcohol is a little recognizable. Still a very solid Syrah.

Mocha, coffee, dark chocolate and some fruits on the nose. A little "hot" as well. Taste was similar and equally as hot with the alcohol. Should improve and mellow out some now through 2015. Good thing I picked up a case.

Greenish nose. Olives some mocha. More vegetal notes on palate along with syrah spiciness. A bit hot. Interestingly complex but it had some off notes for me and didn't all fit together.

Decent blueberry, black plum, blackberry, fresh earth, and worn leather, mild tannins and full finish.

Nice wine. Varietal. Very good QPR. I wish I had more than 1 bottle left.

Might have had a bad cork - Just wasn't what I expected from previous bottles.

Fabulous fruit up front, but no cloying jamminess. Just lovely wine. Soft tannins back up the fruit. this is a great wine at great QPR.

Soft, sweet and blackberry jam. Opened up with more backbone over several hours.
