In a phrase: coastal berry cola. Not a Syrah power-Pinot, but on the Grenache end of the spectrum. Wide open aromatically, black raspberry and coastal herbs. Dark fruited attack, yet with strong balancing acidity. Sneaky tannins on the aromatic finish. Oak shows through aromatically on the finish after a few hours open, though nicely integrated. As Quaffing in Colorado noted, Raynolds' review is spot on. Drink within next 1-2 years.

This pinot had a lot of character - not overly fruity, but had a nice balance between spice and minerality. This was a very subtle saline after taste but it complemented the wine well. I really enjoyed this pinot.

Smells very pronounced at this point, very ripe on the palate but not overdone. Spice on the nose, supple fruit, mineral finish on the back. It is tasty.

A brilliant ruby red pour that hits your nose with nice floral bouquet accompanied by dark berries, cola and spice. A wonderfully intense black raspberry on the palate with wisps of with earth and spice, and a nice leather finish. This one stays with you with a spice that seems to linger. I really enjoyed this wine!

A darker, robust pinot noir. Nice balance though, solid acidity, which paired nicely with prime rib. I chose it because I thought it would stand up to the prime rib and it was right on. The wife thought it was Syrah upon opening...I have to say, I get why she thought that

Wine & Fire - Sta. Rita Hills Sat 8/17; 8/18/2013-8/23/2013: Black cherry and earth on the nose with violet highlights. Notes of mineral & bright florals highlighting dark fruit. Elegant, nice feel, fine structure, and a lingering finish.

This is still drinking very nicely for being 14 years old. It has a beautiful nose of dark cherry. With a cola body and a long smooth finish.

Good solid cali pinot. Showing no signs of it's age.. Very youthful, clean flavors. Sour cherry. Good, but the value is just ok.

Not your typical Pinot, but still nice...lacking somewhat in fruit but, in a word, interesting.

Excellent St. Rita Hills Pinot. Fiddlehead knows what they are doing with grapes from this region.

Josh Raynold's most recent review nails it. Delicious and well-crafted juice.
