This felt like an even blend of marsanne and roussanne. Lots of vanilla. Pear. Hazelnut. Peach. Soft and round, but no heat. This had no flaws or negative qualities, but in general it didn't have the wow factor that I expect from HB, especially factoring in how pricey these wines get. Drink in the next few years.

20 months French oak, 25% new. Looks like people here have confused Crozes-Hermitage with Hermitage, they are different and Hermitage is the more expensive. 60/40 Marsanne/Rousanne. Light gold color. Nose has hazelnut and licorice (?), sour pear. Palette nice ripe flavors with immediate acidity and minerality balance. Finish kicks in a good 5 seconds late with creamy hazelnut. Yum!
