Light spritzy when opened, revealing beautiful sweet oranges and lemons with focus and purity. It is getting better and better, sadly my last bottle of 6.

Looks great in the, er, Kabinett. No spritz in this one. Floral and citrus nose. In the mouth the flavours are citrus first and then green apples and a hint of peach. Sugar level is good, fresh but still just on the dry side of medium. Good intensity, not over-bearing with a bit of minerality in the finish.

Coravin fun - German Riesling tasting...then drinking! (E & M's in the rocks, Sydney): Medium minus aromas of apple and struck match…in the mouth this is quite spritzy with green apple notes and slightly off dry residual sugar. Far more subtle than the Donnhoff's for sure and, for me, needs a bucket more time. Should have probably started with this...

Drank this wine with a close CCA friend from my junior college days at Imperial Treasure Nan Bei Restuarant, Ngee Ann City today.
Light golden in colour with notes of apricot, pears and peaches on the nose. In the glass, I was pleasantly surprised to see little bubbles when poured straight from the bottle. Not exactly sparkling, but the fizz gave the wine some extra tangy and zest.
Notes of vanilla, nectar and fresh white flowers were evident in this wine. Restrained sweetness and ideal when paired with steamed and fried dim sum.

A wine with some nice bones, but hard to discern over the secondary fermentation taking place in the bottle. Screw cap popped like a champagne cork when I unscrewed it.

Day 1: A serious meh. Very disappointing showing from a top producer. A rather one dimensional, flat palette. Off-dry but lacking in acidity. It's not zingy or fresh enough for this price point. I'd stick with the Dr L and save a bunch of money. 84 pts
Day 4: Quite a transformation! This is a much improved wine now. More depth and balance. The mid-palette has fleshed out quite significantly. Still not worth the money though.... 88 pts

1855 German Wine Tasting (Dr Loosen) (1855): Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, light intensity, with very mild aromas of sweet apple. Youthful. On the palate, off-dry, high acidity, low alcohol, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet Fuji apples, citrusy lemon-lime, baking spice and some flint minerality. Medium+ finish. Good quality Kabinett. Drink now and enjoy, and also suitable for further ageing another 5 years to develop some tertiary elements.

Undoubtedly a riesling, both on the nose and palate. It's close to not being sweet enough for my palate, but it is still a nice wine. Prefer the spatlese I tried earlier from the same producer.

Fantastic showing of this wine last night, with juicy yellow apple, racy and charming, my best bottle so far.

More in the spatlese category now, some candied fruits, citruses and spritz-y.

Mosel elegance, racy and fresh with some citrus and apples, a touch sweeter but what a joy packed in 7% of ABV, was lovely with some spicy sushi.

Sweet apples and lemons, little spritz-y, fresh, clean, focused - yet young.

Crystal Symphony AI wine list - brief impressions (Norway): Floral nose. Sweet apple and sweet lemon on the palate. Youthful spritz. This seems very unsettled and unintegrated - perhaps a sign of youth.

Slight urine notes on nose (!) Zingy acid. Not so sweet. Minerality. Some lager (beer) and greenness. Long, high acid finish.
